A tearful President Biden and first lady Jill Biden on Sunday visited the Texas town rocked by last week’s school massacre — but some locals said they fear the visit was little more than a display for the cameras.
After Mass at a local church, the president was hit with cries of “Do something!”
He replied, “We will.”
The presidential motorcade’s first stop was the scene of Tuesday’s slaughter, Robb Elementary School, in Ulvade, where onlookers in the crowd of about 100 cheered them while booing pro-gun-rights Gov. Greg Abbott.
The president wiped away a tear as he and wife Jill spent several solemn minutes walking along the makeshift memorial outside the school, dropping off a bouquet of flowers and stopping to touch the oversized pictures of the 21 victims — 19 fourth-graders and two teachers — at the shrine decorated with crosses, stuffed animals and candles.
But as the pair left the memorial to attend Mass at nearby Sacred Heart Catholic Church, some of the mourners grumbled that the president didn’t stop to address them and shared concerns that the well-publicized visit was all a political show.
“I thought Biden would care for the people,” said Diana Martinez, 48. “I know he came to pay his respects for the victims, but there’s a lot of people here, and he didn’t even care to come up to us.

Uvalde mom Rita Ortiz, 53, added, “Biden’s visit doesn’t mean much to me. It’s political. I don’t believe he cares.”

The Democrats don’t care.
They only care about what puts money in their pockets.
The dems “Care” about using this opportunity YES opportunity to permanently ban guns, that is their end game. Trust me the second this shooting happened they were hoping the death toll would be high so they could use it to wrap it around the GOP’s neck
Photo Ops are not tributes.
The Democrats also care about destroying anyone who might get in the way of putting dirty money in their pockets.
I am sure the cries to “do something”were plants by the Biden admin for their fake grief photo op.
Why weren't the police on his ..... after he shot his grandmother. I'm sure the neighborhood was aware of who to go after.
The only thing Democrats care about is power.
He is the father of a drug addict who abused minors on video and says nothing about it. He stole the election and is destroying the country. Of course he doesn’t care about people.
The shooter was a whacked out kid in a small town. You can’t tell me that nobody in the town noticed his behavior and did NOTHING about it.
If power helps them get more money in their pockets.
This is the closest he will ever get to the Southern border.
What can they do legally if he hasn't broke the law. If I go to the police over a mentally ill person, they won't do a thing. They can't if no laws are broken.
And talk about his dead son Beau.
Or maybe George Floyd.
They only care that this gives them an opening for gun control.

Oh, they like money. But what they really have is a wanton lust for power. If money adds to that power, they just think of it as lagniappe.
The crowd was hand-picked if they booed Abbot and cheered the Vegetable.
