My guess is the recall will fail. Call it Stockholm Syndrome or whatever, but it seems to me that Californians like what their government and criminals are doing to them. It’s like an S/M addiction.

That's a stereotype. Asians are split between political camps, just like whites. Old-time Chinese-Americans in San Francisco supported conservatives. Then an influx of Chinese from Asia in the 1970s began to alter the mix. There were many disagreements between pro-Taiwan and pro-communist China advocates in Chinatown. Newer Asians (Chinese, Philippine, etc.) leaned leftist. There are still many Republican Asian-Americans, but are overwhelmed by the Democrat ones. There is hope that the younger generation will turn the tide back to conservatives.
