On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” New York Times columnist David Brooks stated that Democrats are facing poor poll numbers because “the whole zeitgeist of the country has deteriorated over the last year. And I would say it’s been a threat of disorder,” internationally, domestically on crime, and economically on inflation.

Dumb ol’ Brooks posits that the Dems can still “turn this around.” How? And why? Softness on crime, a porous border, disastrous economic policies, transgender insanity, woke idiocy... this is their agenda. Bow would they turn anything around? Why would they want to? This ain’t 1995, with the Bill Clinton rushing to the center to cut deals with Newt Gingrich. The new Dem base ain’t gonna let them get away with triangulating.

If you spent $5 trillion in 2021 and $4 trillion in 2022, then you lowered the deficit by $1 trillion. Never mind that the total $9 trillion is $5 trillion more than you took in.
And the weekly chocolate ration was increased from 10 grams to 20 grams.

Actually some of it is simply explained by the COVID hysteria response. Of course, SOME jobs were LOST due to that insanity of requiring everyone to vax, but many were gained as more “confidence” built.

The government is warning of massive food shortages and fuel shortages and a collapsing economy and a nuclear war and increased crime in the streets and more death from a deadlier COVID strain and a Nazi-like Ministry of Truth that will listen to say if you disagree with the government on any subject and athletes dropping dead on the game fields and children being secretly groomed by the government and people illegally held in solitary without being charged with any crimes.
