WASHINGTON -- A former White House official told the House committee investigating the Capitol riot that President Donald Trump's chief of staff, Mark Meadows, had been advised of intelligence reports showing the potential for violence, according to just-released transcripts.
Cassidy Hutchinson, a special assistant in the Trump White House, told the committee “there were concerns brought forward” to Meadows before the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, but it was unclear what Meadows did with that information.

I want to know why Nancy forbade all the standard law enforcement presence that all other large DC gatherings routinely received, and why she turned down President Trump’s request of the National Guard to be present.

Why didn’t Pelosi and Bowser accept Trump’s offer of National Guard troops? Maybe that should be investigated. It’s interesting that after the election there were at least 2 massive pro-Trump rallies in DC (prior to the one on January 6th), involving 200,000 or more people. The ONLY violence during those events was when Black Lies Matter and Antifa thugs attacked rally-goers who were heading back to their hotels, and those who had stopped to get something to eat. Bowser, Capitol Police, DC Police, Secret Service, FBI, all knew about that violence. Why wasn’t there more security at the Capitol on January 6th? The Media-Dem Party wanted the ability to weaponize any disturbances that day, we know that for sure.
There are concerns of violence for every single public gathering, especially political gatherings.

Trump recommended that 10k National Guard troops be deployed on Jan 6th to the Capital.
Pelosi turned down the offer because she thought it was “bad optics”.
In typical Trump fashion he did not take the action on his own as he viewed it as the responsibility of Pelosi so he left the decision with her.
