Die Hard is one of my favorite movies of all time. What a classic thriller! This news hurts.

My mother had aphasia after a stroke. It got a little worse every year. By 2019 it was bad.
For some reason, I could understand her better when we were speaking in person. But the lockdowns took care of that. She died last April.

Patricia Neal developed aphasia after a stroke. With the help of her husband, Roald Dahl, and a very grueling rehab regime, she recovered and continued her career. A lot of new developments in the treatment of stroke victims were developed based on her experience.

In 1990, I worked with him in Denver on DIE HARD 2. It was odd hanging with him because he was in “John McLane” character the whole damn time.

Oh, man! I can come up with only one expression right now:
This really sucks! .... oh, and adding of course, that Mr. Willis is in my prayers.

Isn’t that associated with a stroke?

This is sad news. I really like him. I’m an actor and was lucky enough to work with him on one of his Die Hard movies. He liked to have fun on the set, nad always made you feel comfortable...

Such a shame. He’s one of the good guys. I knew he younger brother, Robert, years ago. Robert died of pancreatic cancer at a very young age.

Too bad. I always enjoyed Bruce’s movies. My dad had mild aphasia in his final years. His began after a couple mild strokes, one of them like Ron Paul’s stroke where he began speaking gibberish during a live interview. It’s very frustrating for the person, as they know what they want to say, but can’t communicate their thoughts well.

Aphasia is normally one of the sequalae of a brain injury of some sort—stroke, etc.
