Flu cases are rising across much of the country, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Friday, though overall flu levels remain low.
Weekly flu cases had been declining through most of January, but began rising nationally the week ending March 5, the CDC said. That increase has continued, albeit slowly.

No, it hasn’t. At least be honest with yourself — it is a reasonable thought to debate exactly how dangerous is covid — but — CoVID is CORONA virus and influenza is an entirely different virus in terms of genus and specie as well as genetic make up.
To not admit so disqualifies everything else you might say.
Influenza is a less robust virus and mitigation in 2020 and 2021 winter and spring with social distancing, more mask earring, and higher attention to hand washing etc likely did stop influenza in its tracks — as well as many other viruses that are not aerosolized, but droplet spread.
Basic science is basic science.

Look, I love you man and I have appreciated your previous posts and are happy that you choose to continue contributing. And I have told you this on previous occasions. But if you are unable to recognize obviously erroneous politically motivated nonsense such as... "Flu cases 2019-2020... 38,000,000" "Flu cases 2020-2021... 1674" Then you have drank the flavor-aid and it is likely time for you to consider retiring from the medical profession. For whatever reason, your judgement is now completely and totally shot. No amount of mental gymnastics, and obfuscating can get you to those ridiculous numbers. Invoking "science" just makes it that much worse.
Absolute, total bulls**t. The hospital I work at in southern NJ Covid has all but disappeared and we’ve had about three cases of the flu all week. Last couple of nights my crew and I have been trying to stay awake. Even the nurses are bored.
This is just the power hungry Democrats trying to keep this fear going so they can steal the midterms.
