Influenza is a less robust virus and mitigation in 2020 and 2021 winter and spring with social distancing, more mask earring, and higher attention to hand washing etc likely did stop influenza in its tracks — as well as many other viruses that are not aerosolized, but droplet spread.
Basic science is basic science.
In other news... the CDC using basic science has now proven that the Easter Bunny is real, but that Hunter Biden's laptop is not.
Look, I love you man and I have appreciated your previous posts and are happy that you choose to continue contributing. And I have told you this on previous occasions. But if you are unable to recognize obviously erroneous politically motivated nonsense such as... "Flu cases 2019-2020... 38,000,000" "Flu cases 2020-2021... 1674" Then you have drank the flavor-aid and it is likely time for you to consider retiring from the medical profession. For whatever reason, your judgement is now completely and totally shot. No amount of mental gymnastics, and obfuscating can get you to those ridiculous numbers. Invoking "science" just makes it that much worse.
There are a lot of immune defenses at play that make masks ans social distancing look like the frauds they are.
Each year the flu comes. Only one strain per year. Test manufacturers will state you cannot get a flu A and flu B positive together. Recollect n repeat the test.
The body boosts the overall immune system when it is exposed to a virus. No other virus will replicate.
There are some white papers out that explain this phenomena.
After decades of running flu tests, my experiential data confirms this is true. Every dual pos test was recolle ted and only pos for the dominant strain.
From 2021 and the CDC, one of their weekly influenza surveillance pages...
“...Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, health care-seeking behaviors have changed and people may be accessing the health care system in alternative settings not captured as a part of ILINet or at a different point in their illness than they might have before the pandemic. Therefore, it is important to evaluate syndromic surveillance data, including that from ILINet, in the context of other sources of surveillance data to obtain a complete and accurate picture of influenza, COVID-19, and other respiratory virus activity.”
IOW, their stats were crap.
gas_dr …… You are absolutely out of you mind.
Do you bath in Fuaci-sauce…..good lord.
If what you’re saying is true, then the behaviors you list and mandates should have been in place for years, if not decades. They would have rendered the flu a thing of the last years ago. Given that in ‘18-‘’19 the numbers were around 36,000,000. Year before that over 30,000,000.
So it took the geniuses at the CDC to deal covid to realize that social distancing, washing hands, and masks can prevent the spread? Wow. Just effin’ wow.
