Dayamn. I wonder if that would make a good update to the tagline page?
In Ukraine, Trump’s Javelins are more effective than Obambam’s MREs and Biden’s Bumbling.

During President Barack Obama's term in office, the U.S. did not supply Ukraine with Javelins when Russia annexed Crimea in 2014. But under President Donald Trump, Washington reversed course and decided to equip Ukraine with the weapons.
Ukraine is definitely armed better than it used to be.
But, it is not asymmetrical war.
Ukraine has like 300,000 soldiers, all employed, plus mobilized forces. All Ukrainian men 18-30 are supposed to serve.
Russia send like 200,000 invasion forces. (well they have 900,0000, but most are deployed elsewhere or sitting home)
Ukrainians are defending their homeland, Russians apparently do not care.
So far, I would say, Russians are actually outgunned.
The original technology development was done by Loral and LTV - when it reached production readiness the contract was moved to bigger contractors. I was with one of the Loral divisions at the time, and we acquired the LTV division that did the early work (based in Goodyear Arizona). I think I still have a “Javelin” coffee mug somewhere :-).
The Javelin missile is designed to defeat reactive armor. It has two war heads. The first one (at the tip of the missile) triggers the reactive armor, which blows away, then the second warhead slams into the now bare metal of the tank and detonates what I presume is a shape charge.
“A man crossed the border from Poland into Ukraine on Wednesday.”

He looks ready for war.
Working on stuff like that
Is a Real Rush, Ain’t it!
This sounds like our own Revolutionary War. Ukrainians have the home ground and use guerilla tactics. Hopefully they also win.
Different version, I'm sure, is being sold online.
It is very possible. The soldier takes a “picture”, that gets sent to the missile. Once launched, the missile travels to the general area with the precision guidance tracking the target.
reactive armor is the best defense from a shoulder fired missile. An artillery round fired with a laser sight would stop anything ...not sure if Ukraine got that, the arty site would be a high value target
“Now maybe it is time to send them a few A-10s. Maybe the EU declare Ukraine a No Fly Zone. EU Not NATO.”
Maybe two trained Swiss pilots?
Nice little ditty.
I think they are infrared, heat seeking. That’s why they are fire and forget.
I hope there are a lot of Javelins all lined up to take out that 40 mile long convoy. Would make a hell of an ambush.
and Turkish drones...
That’s def a JV tank for the red army ....
