The viral pic of a girl in a pink jacket standing next to a boy saluting men on a Ukrainian tank is from 2/25/22? No, it’s fake and It was a picture from 3/23/16.
The pic of an old woman with a bloody face and bandaged head? It’s from 2018.
Snake Island almost certainly surrendered.
The “tank” that ran over the old man’s car was Ukrainian.
The “Russian weapons convoy” that was supposedly wiped out is probably also fake.
I’m tired of unending military interventionism and the chickenhawk trolls who want to use Putin or Russia as a foil to try and egg Americans into yet another war the chickenhawks won’t fight in themselves.

I don’t think his sanity has been affected. I think he saw a weak and ineffectual president and figured now was the right time to do what he wanted.

I have been saying the same thing in response to multiple hate Russia/Putin war mongers this morning. We live amongst a large number of both Russians and Ukrainians in this part of the country. I responded to calls at their homes numerous times before I retired. And my dad has been renting my grandmother’s house to Russians for 20 years.
As far as recent arrivals go, both Russians and Ukrainians are the best of the best. The young people all learn English almost immediately and are not a burden to our school systems. As an added bonus 99% of them hate the communist system and basically all of them have conservative tendencies. The uninitiated can tell them apart mostly by which church they go to.
The only thing that I would hold against them is the smelly cooking that our next-door neighbor who is a recent arrival produces and the fumes actually stunk up my van the other day. And I would be hesitant to buy a car from some of them because many can make a totaled car look like new in a surprisingly short amount of time often minus the airbags.
I really expected him to park Russian troops inside the new "people's republics" and wait, and wait, and see how the West responds (or more likely not responds). Then make his next move. As he did with Crimea. This all-out assault was not at all what I expected, appears to be an overreach, and is causing unity that even includes the Germans. Weird. If this drags on another month, they will kill him.
Yes there are a tremendous number of falsehoods coming out.
And people believe them too easily.
We will know soon enough what is really going on.
And yes, all the fake “good” news about ukrainian forces are to drum up supports among the SUCKERS, er, US citizens so we can send more boys to die before they reach 25

They may well do that. This invasion will create a hostile state on the border, much more hostile than before. The Ukrainians will remember this for generations. He may have to set up a puppet government and occupy Ukraine for a while, a very expensive long term proposition. This may cripple the Russian economy for quite a while.
Also, look for Ukrainian spec ops teams to commit acts of sabotage in Russia proper soon, if not already.
