I don’t think his sanity has been affected. I think he saw a weak and ineffectual president and figured now was the right time to do what he wanted.

That’s exactly what I have said. Wow left constantly claims Trump is siding with Putin by calling him smart, etc. It really is what has happened. Put in is a very smart intelligent man, just an evil person, and saw his window to do what he wanted because of the incompetence of the United States and the current quote president”.

Bidens bomb shelter is full unsold copies of Maudlin albrights book. I am sure the commands of our US forces are having a come to jeasus meeting next week.

They need a plan to get airmen some flight hours, a few weeks of workup in the US, a transit flight to UK and poland and move some ground support equipment to Poland. The air lift commands have luckly not lost a tremendouse amount of readyness over the past decade.

Poland is a F-16 nation, with bunker hangars courtesy of the USSR, the USAF could move in there. The pilots of ANG are the ones that are needed at the nato bases, the F35s and F22s are probably better used as counter threat and not as air hours as ground support. Parking 4 carriers within 1000 miles of russian targets would get some attention on the north sea and the northern pacific. The navy subs should already be at D3 state with the ballistic subs going to the far reaches of the world waiting for the call, and the hunter killers everywhere chasing the fractional russian threat.

The NAVY with the carriers at sea that could be on site in a week, all are threat to the logistics of the russian advances. The places that the carriers need to be are off the depots that hold the supplies, it is bad case for russia. The A10 squadrons all have pilots available for recall that just need workup hours and ammo to rattle wherever russian troopers decide to park their trucks. Those squadrons were thought they were lost about 2020 are the ones in most demand....for what the 4th time in 30 years.

We could be 3 weeks away from WWIII or three weeks away from russians standing in line to view Putins body. Neither would surprise me.

American Liberals...want a AR15 now?

I respectfully disagree. Regardless of my disdain for our current administration I too am wondering what is wrong with Putin.

His actions in the Ukraine appear quite reckless for a man who had a well-earned reputation for being careful and deliberate. Propaganda on both sides is real but his actions seemed unnecessary and extremely risky to not only him but the 500 (give or take) oligarchs in Russia who own all the wealth of the nation.

I have heard all kinds of “reasons” but frankly none make sense given that his buildup and bluster had achieved most of his stated desires.

The whole thing seems very abnormal for Putin who has been around for a long time. I would say it is a 50/50 proposition if he is President of the Russian Federation next year.

Had he not invaded it would be 98% certain because men his age sometimes die of natural causes. The Russian people don’t support this and the move will cost those who put him in power (the ultra-rich) tens of billions of dollars AND he has risked losing approximately half of the income for his nation by trying to pacify a nation that will never accept his rule.

I suppose many can name one reason or another for his action but I cannot think of one that justifies the risk he has taken by attacking Ukraine.
