Twitter has suspended or locked the accounts of at least 15 users who were tracking Russian military movements on the platform.
The accounts are part of a relatively new form of journalism that uses the internet to gather images and video (also known as open-source intelligence, or OSINT) in an effort to track and report on violent conflicts. Many of these accounts have been tracking Russian military movements — information that the Russian military might have found problematic if they launched an attack.
When the people get out in front of the political narratives with real information. Can’t have that now can we?

Clearly this is a decision by a "private" company that suddenly decided to take a principled stand against something they didn't believe in.
So twitter is competent to judge what should be published or not? (no) Does twitter have a direct line to the federal government? (silly question)
guess we know which side twitter is one - the side that tries to hide what Russia is doing from the rest of the world.

Twitter just trying to help the Russians out by repressing the free flow of information.
It takes a week to have Biden scripted with a speech. Things happening in real time does not work with a Biden Administration.

I was following a twitter account that was tracking Ukraine’s military deployment around Kharkiv and it got nuked, but that was a week ago.
Human error in reporting? Like six years of Russian Collusion by Trump? That kind of error in reporting? Or like weapons of mass destruction? Or like transitory inflation? Or like $450,000 payments to illegal immigrants?
Twitter is a de facto international utility.
Their assets should be seized and board of directors and senior executives removed.
After that they should be broken up in a million pieces.
Big Tech is the modern Robber Barons.
They are not capitalists, they are Deep State monopolists.

I agree with this assessment. Communications systems cannot be allowed to be owned by anyone. They must be viewed as collective property, no matter how they are created.
This makes me so angry that I am going to delete that Twitter account I never had.
Putin sends his Twitter buddies to the rescue. Military movements are now hate speech.
