Unofficially and in many states officially it's called "Presidents' Day." As you might expect in today's America the states don't agree about where the apostrophe goes or whether there should be one at all.
In many states the day also commemorates Lincoln. Alabama adds Jefferson and skips Lincoln. Nobody seriously thinks the day is intended to honor Tyler or Hayes or Harding or Obama.
I think it was Clinton that “ended” Washington’s and Lincoln’s birthdays and replaced them with Presidents’ Day
Double Ditto!
That is what I'm thinking now.
Spock: an old Vulcan proverb, “only Nixon could go to China.”
What? Should it only be evil president’s day to satisfy the worshippers of the master of lies?
Just the winners like OBastard and Xiden.
Hard to take behar seriously without a ring through her nose.
I read that Presidents’ Day had been canceled until we get one again.
This -= Senile TV Bozo is 79 years old. She is always trolling for PR and shooting her ugly mouth off/ I give her some IQ points for hiring decent plastic surgeons. Behar is not Jewish. She is some flavor of Lebanese.
The Jews have enough problems. Beastly Behar is Italian. Wikipedia says so. Leave the Jews out of this
We good guys need to build our own institutions for media, academia, culture and government.
We can’t expect to use the ones owned and controlled by the bad guys.
Or LOSERS like Wilson, FDR, LBJ, Carter, Bubba or especially, Gay Barry,EITHER !!!!
They crammed it into President’s Day to give St. Martin his own.
Breitbart publishes every belch, fart, or grunt from every stupid liberal out there every day.
No, Congress moved Washington’s Birthday to a Monday when Nixon was President and Nixon was the one who started the custom of calling it “Presidents’ Day.”
When Washington was a kid, he celebrated his birthday on Feb. 11th. I don’t think he ever got used to the idea of the 22nd being his birthday. He was 20 years old when Great Britain made the change to the “New Style” calendar.
