A severe winter storm could dump up to 18 inches of snow across the eastern US Monday as some half a million homes are already without power in the southeast — but New York will largely be spared, forecasters said Monday.
The heaviest snowfall — likely between 6 and 10 inches — is expected in parts of northern Virginia and Maryland, as well as in Delaware and southern New Jersey, AccuWeather meteorologist Nicole LoBiondo told The Post.

And I feel fine.
Hey, baby.
;D
Globull warming strikes again!
It was minus 8 degrees yesterday morning at the new mansion. I am a fair ways from a big city now.
6? DId you have them twice?
I’m on the western end of Prince William County, Va. and got about 3”. Quite a difference from the other end of the county with 14”. Usually we get it worse, but this storm came up from the south and spared us.
At least they know what to do in a snowstorm there.
In Virginia, snow confuses these people.
You would have gotten 20 inches without global warming. Unfalsifiable? Simply rinse and repeat often enough, and Democrats will believe you.
Welcome to Pittsburgh. As we say here, if you don’t like the weather, wait an hour.
people drive like that all over....here in snow country out west....its the same people that get vaxxed.... :)
Yea, we got pummeled
True
Other extreme is they fly down the road at 80 because “the commercial shows the car doing that in the snow!”
My former job in a help desk was in Calif. while the other half was in New Jersey. They were snowed in several times over the years and we were very busy. The Calif help desk is no more and 2 people from Calif moved to Minn and Texas and still work in the help desk. Everyone else gone but the new help desk which is about half the help desk is based in Poland....
I am glad I quit back in Nov as it must be a mess as far as helping people.
Same is happening here in northeast NJ; for the past few years south Jersey has had it worse than here in the NYC metro area. They had no way of dealing with it when it started (no plows, salt trucks); now I think they can assume they no longer have the climate of the Carolinas...
Schools are closed throughout south Jersey, and we got NOTHING; odd because NJ isn’t a very large state.
I agree I miss the snow we used to have
Got 3 snowflakes here on Long Island. Cold though.
Sho nuff.
I had to pull my last tomatoes off the vine on New Year’s Day before the freeze.
Oh, behave!
Our son and DIL in DC got 6-8”. Here in coastal central NJ we got a dusting.
;D
