BBC ^ | 12/26/21

More than a million people in the UK are suffering from long Covid, with fears the number could rise due to the Omicron variant. Many patients say they only had a mild initial infection but it went on to ruin their health, social lives and finances.

Sad, considering she had to abandon walking a chewing gum years ago.

I did not see any mention of whether or not she had the Covid vaccine or how many boosters. I did see this posted which raised a red flag in my mind.

“They also found small blood clots on her lungs”

She seems like an early adopter.

Well, I’ve had Covid, long Covid and Vaxxed.

Got rid of Covid in the hospital over 5 days (pre-protocols)

Got rid of Long Covid with 12 mg Ivermectin every other day.

Trying to get rid of vaxx-effect pericarditis with Tylenol, hydration and time. Just hoping at this point.

“long covid.” another mislead from a leftist news source with and agenda. how ever many they are (a million? i doubt they can prove it) they estimate a million, because a million is a big bad number.

and i love the “mild” thing. they love to use the word “mild” for stuff they’re in favor of, like the “mild” side effects of all their jabs. they use “mild” almost as much as they use “rare.” how could this have been a mild infection? struggling to breathe is never a “mild” symptom. then she was misdiagnosed and told her heavy chest and breathing was anxiety. right.

in short, i think “long covid” is less about the virus and more about damage caused by sars. they’re probably suffering from long term effects of sars and the damage it causes to organs and blood vessels microscopically if left unchecked or untreated early on. it’s not a “mystery” at all to the doctors and researchers on our side. or the disease caused by the virus (or perhaps even one of the vaccines that can cause similar damage). anyway my two cents.

I can’t help but wonder how many other syndromes (even pre-exisiting ones) are being re-diagnosed as “long COVID”. Same thing with how the seasonal flu magically disappeared.

Study last week said most long covid is psychosomatic.

Or maybe- just possibly- the vaxxes are expediting preexisting conditions. It certainly did for my father in law.

sure, i know there’s a lot of fear out there (look at the post where asymptomatics are jamming emergency rooms because of their covid positive at home tests), but in this case i don’t think so. i think that women in the article may have permanent organ damage.

Yeah, but we can’t be considering individual cases and situations, it’s important to politicize everything, group everyone together, and create labels and memes, this is America 2021 (for now).

Long Covid is not a joke. I almost died a year ago from Covid and lost the ability to walk. Former college football player now using a walker to get around. I want Biden to investigate Covid but I know the coward won’t rile China.

No offence intended, since I reject the so called va666ine.

How did you lose the ability to walk?

I believe you, I’m just curious of the symptoms.

If you’d rather not share publicly or by FReepmail, I understand. No problem either way.

I know people with long Covid. None were vax’ed. Covid can wreck organs. That was probably the design.

Thank you, BusterDog for injecting a little sanity into the discussion.

Never vaxxed. Had COVID early on, hospitalized twice. Scarred up lungs, damaged kidneys, depleted endocrine system.

Not f’n psychosomatic. My chest xrays and scans, my blood labs and 6 meds a day, the stack of medical bills and lost days of my life...it sucks!

I was 54 when this hit, an active wife and mother of 3 kids who summer before had spent two weeks trekking across Italy.

But the worst are the FReepers who presume everyone that got COVID had to be vaxxed or is pushing the vax, or had underlying medical issues, or...loving this new twist...it is all in my head.

Ironic how we applaud ourselves for resisting the mind-think propaganda, only to be purveyors of it here.

COVID hits everyone differently. In my house, I had it first and the worst, my husband and oldest son didn’t even get the sniffles, and my two youngest sons were sick with the flu for a few days. In my building were people who were deathly ill, hospitalized, sick for two weeks, sick for a few days, or never sick at all. I had staff and owners with relatives that died from it.

I could see all sides, understand all sides, because of it.

Good grief, critical thinking has gone completely out the window lately!

How old are you?

Do you have any preexisting health conditions?

Are you obese?

A couple months after my bout with Covid-19 and most of my lung capacity had returned as gauged by bicycle riding up hills; I have NO idea what this ‘long covid-19’ stuff is. A year and some months later I cannot tell that I even had the virus ...

I suspect a lot of people were out-of-shape to begin with when they contracted Covid. In March 2020 I had parked the car and rode the bicycle for errands to the grocery store, bank and city hall to pay the water bill, and spend a few hours in the library each day (to use their computers for iNet access) in most of 2020.

Psychosomatic doesn’t cause the issues noted here:

Stop knocking long covid. I had 2 vaccine jabs and got covid 4 months later. I had relatively mild symptoms for a few days including fatigue, GI problems and loss of taste. Well folks, it is now 4 more months and I still cannot taste and have some GI problems. Not psychosomatic. Not fun. It is real so please stop speculating.
