Omicron appears to be a more mild version of COVID-19 than the Delta variant, a leaked study from the British government shows.
The UK Health Security Agency — the US equivalent to the Centers for Disease Control — found that those who fall ill with Omicron are less likely to become severely sick compared to those who get the Delta variant, according to the data obtained by Politico.
The early real-world data, which is expected to be released before Christmas, found that Omicron is likely to bring on a mild illness with less serious symptoms in most people.
It is likely down to the large number of people that have been vaccinated and previously infected, as well as Omicron just being naturally milder than other coronavirus variants.

No one here in South Africa is known to have been hospitalised with the Omicron variant, nor is anyone here believed to have fallen seriously ill with it.
This is how pandemics naturally end. The virulent virus mutates into a highly communicable form that causes only a mild illness but renders immunity to the more virulent strains. The population develops “herd immunity” and the virulent strains die out for a lack of hosts. If the US CDC were not controlled by commissars pushing a political narrative, their scientists would be studying the data carefully to determine if this is what is happening with omicron. Of course if that is the case what to do with all those vaccines, new expensive drugs to treat COVID, the loss of control and mandates?

I was under the impression, from years in the med community, that the mutations of viruses are usually less virulent. But they want to cntrol the sheeple so the lies continue to flow.
By the time these kits are available in late January the Omicron will be in severe decline if it follows that occurred in S. Africa and Europe.
It doesn’t need to be leaked. This has been “known” since the week after it was discovered. The docs in SA are passed that they even “discovered” it because of the overreaction.
Ummm, basic science 101 has proven variants are always weaker than their predecessors. That is unless they are genetically TOYED with like Wuhan lab enjoys doing.
It is amazing how the Governments know which variant everyone has even though the PCR test was never designed to detect whether or not someone has Covid or what strain of covid it is.
Hospitals do not even have the test equipment to determine the Covid strain. The only way they can keep track of the strains is because the Governments are following a release schedule.

Boy oh boy did you ever sleep through Science 101. While variants of deadly viruses trend towrd weaker, all viruses are variants of previous viruses. Therefore every deadly virus from Marburg, to the 1917 influenza, to COVID-19 are ALL stronger than the viruses they mutated from.
COVID-19 itself may have been engineered, but it is not possible to base that assertion on the mistaken concept you put forth.
Well, this is what my functional medicine doc told me, so that’s my excuse there :)
