Agreed. He shouldn’t be trusted and he shouldn’t be trusted now. He could just be useful the way Jumpin’ Jim Jeffords was useful to the Democrats.
I’m happy he’s opposing the bill but he is no patriot. He helps kill this country frequently with his other terrible leftwing votes.

Manchin throws the GOP a bone now and then but he knows he’s in a super Trump friendly state so he “has to”, to placate his constituents. I agree the Joe Manchin fellating needs to stop. You are correct. Democrat, Joe Manchin should switch Political Parties immediately & become a Republican, That patriotic move by Manchin becoming a Republican in the Senate, destroys the Democrat Party overnight!!! Manchin will become a top patriot in all future history books!!!
He has always maintained that it had to be less than 1.7T$, and NO addition to the national debt. It has always been impossible for the Dems to do that in the face of Sinema’s insistence that there be no tax hikes. This finally simply completely cemented the situation so the Congress can go back home for Christmas.
Agreed. McConnell, for all his warts, has been a stalwart in maintaining all 50 GOP Senators united in opposition. He gave in to the Dems in a few places, but that made it much more difficult for Manchin, Sinema, and a few other Dems to give in to the BBB garbage.
Manchin wants his job back as governor of West Virginia, and he’ll do anything to get it. Period. He came back to WV and tested the waters several years ago and was told to pound sand for flipping from his pro-life and pro-2d amendment platform to get elected to the US Senate, becoming pro-choice and anti-gun after he got to Washington. He’s a swamp creature and not trustworthy.
McConnell may be a SOB but his strategy was correct. The infrastructure bill is laden with pork but we can live with that. BBB bill will fundamentally change this nation and McConnell needed Manchin's help to torpedo it and he wanted the infrastructure bill so McConnell gave it to him. Now it's full speed to 2022. The Democrats may not have a chance to pass the BBB bill for another decade at least.
