Eighteen earthquakes have struck Tuesday off the Oregon coast, with the largest two reaching magnitude-5.8. The earthquakes hit far off the coast, roughly west of Newport. No tsunamis are expected.

I had a dream just several days ago as I was waking up at 6 AM.
I saw a map of Michigan and I heard a radio announcer say, “The shaking was so strong in south Michigan it caused skyscrapers to sway in Chicago.”
Then I saw an aerial tour of a rural area in Michigan. There were rolling green areas and clumps of trees where houses and other buildings once stood, but now were reduced to brown globs that looked like melted chocolate. As though fires were triggered that destroyed them.
It was weird.
No fault lines in Michigan.
That we know of.

COVID might get knocked out of lead story for a day or two?
That’s good to know.
That dream was disturbing.
Nothing out of the ordinary.

I can’t resist. If something does happen that is cataclysmic do you think they will require “vaccine passports” for rescue workers?

I'm not a morning person but I need to get up early to greet the chickens. To get up at 6 a.m. (sort of) I need to set the alarm for 5. Well if I awoke from the dead to see "5:00", I'd be pretty cranky. So when the clocks changed back I left my alarm clock alone. That way I see 6:00 (hey not so bad!), smack the snooze a few times and then by the time I actually get up, it's a little after "7:00". Ingenuity. ;)
