Former President Donald Trump on Friday called on Mitch McConnell to resign as Senate Minority Leader for supporting President Joe Biden's $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill, which passed Congress earlier this month.
McConnell, a Kentucky Republican who voted for the bill and drew Trump's ire, trumpeted the sweeping plan as "good for the country" and even attempted to give the Senate credit for its passage.
"It's not infrastructure and we had 19 Republicans voting for it. What a shame. But Mitch McConnell gave this. That guy should resign as the leader," Trump said in a Black Friday interview on Fox Business.
McConnell and 18 other Senate Republicans joined Democrats in voting for the infrastructure bill in August.

"He broke up the bills, and by breaking it up that was bad, but then he gave them two months to get their act together. They were ready to fold. We had them. And then Mitch McConnell gave them two months. This guy doesn't have a clue," Trump said Friday.

Mitch did a great job with the court nominees. Trump needs to ease up on him.
Everyone who is even mildly paying attention to politics knows that Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham have been working for the Democrats for decades.
Kentucky Republicans keep voting to reelect McConnell. South Carolina keeps voting to reelect Graham. Trump endorsed both of them.
It’s not rocket science.
The Democrats love McConnell and Graham. If they were serious about replacing McConnell and Graham, they would have run moderate Democrat candidates. They chose instead to field the most left-wing candidates they could find. They were counting on Republicans to reelect McConnell and Graham.
Democrats are laughing at the stupid party.
McConnell should rein in government spending the way Trump did.

Doesn't have a clue? Basically Mitch threw them a lifeline to keep it alive. It wasn't because he was stupid and squandered a victory with a dumb mistake. He wanted it like he wants all of Biden's agenda and he found a way to keep it alive long enough to pass. He wants and has supported all of Bidens agenda. He wanted and supported none of Trumps. This is who the GOP really is.
