DC drops indoor masking as Montgomery County reinstates it. Why the mandate confusion?

Cooler weather and the upcoming holiday season means that people will be spending more time indoors and in spaces that are more crowded. The issue of indoor masking immediately jumps to the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic debate.

Wearing masks indoor is a layer of protection against transmitting the virus. With over 70 percent of the adult population now fully vaccinated, and booster shots now widely available, some communities are rethinking their indoor mask mandate.

Washington, D.C. announced that effective Nov. 22 masks will no longer be required in a number of indoor venues. The basis for this decision is widespread vaccination in the area and a drop in the number of new case, now resting at around 80 cases per 100,000 people.

Wearing masks does nothing to stop COVID.

At what point will we all agree with the science?

Dane County, WI - home to, ‘The People’s Republic of Madistan’ - just extended their masking mandate through mid-January, 2022.

I told ya they would! Those ‘sheeple’ LOVE being told what to do!

My County, ONE CLICK OVER, hasn’t had one in nearly a year. If this virus is SO smart, and is out there LOOKING for hosts, why isn’t it border hopping and infecting all of the unwashed over here?

*SMIRK*

Again, one county over, our ‘death toll’ remains at 15, all elderly, all with other compromising conditions prior to getting the flu. More people die EVERY winter from everyday flu than have died from CovidBS-19 in our entire county!

A stat as useless as the mask as the overwhelming majority of cases are minor or asymptomatic.

“why isn’t it border hopping and infecting all of the unwashed over here?”

It’s like back when restaurants had smoking and non-smoking sections. The smoke was so smart it knew had to stay in the smoking section and not waft six inches to the next table which was in non-smoking.

Why is this even a question?

For years, CDC has made it CLEAR (albeit with somewhat obfuscatory word choice), masks do NOTHING to prevent spread of URI viruses in general, but SARS-CoV-2 specifically.

Note the use of the word “irrespective.”

I’ve shown this to medical colleagues who look at me with a first year med student deer in the headlights stare and say “what does irrespective mean.”

Public education victims, they’re everywhere.

None of this makes sense. Not a bit of it.

And I think that’s the point.

It’s not about the virus, or the vaccine. It’s not about public health.

It’s about getting the public to accept absurdities and getting the public to do as they are told even when the public believes that they are told things that make no sense.

We are probably not entering a cycle where the Jews get loaded on to boxcars. It’s different this time. But the social control of the public that is being put in place is precisely what needs to accomplished so that the government can perform atrocities.

And the Rittenhouse trial is part of this. Do you have the right to self defense? They want to establish that you do not.

And since this is near me, and nothing from MontyCo surprises me, I can provide extra “color”.

Last week at my mom’s doctor, they specifically required PAPER SURGICAL masks! (Yes, the signs stated that cloth is NO GOOD!)

Meanwhile, we made an appt with a dental specialist, same immediate vicinity, within 2 business centers - MUST HAVE CLOTH MASKS!

Yes, if “cases” meant anything - we’d be scared to death of all influenzas all the time.

Weeellll....when they originally were serious about non-smoking, they were “protected” areas. As NAZIism encroached more, those small “protected” areas became the SMOKING sections.

We had them in the ‘80s where plexiglass (sound familiar?) would separate the sections if it had been open before.

Remember when the war on tobacco started in the 1980’s?

“All we want is just a couple of tables for non-smokers.”

That didn’t last long, did it?

When? When everyone who insists on facts, truth, and a scientific approach is dead.

That is the goal of all this, eliminate those who dabble in “wrongthink”.

My cigars outdoors work as Karen repellents.

They run away screaming—they are convinced that smelling one puff will kill them on the spot.

Follow the magic!

Because its all BS.

Nailed it.

They are just amusing themselves.

They know the 4Fs will hysterically declare that everything is the fault of people who will not jump every time the unelected bureaucrats yell "FROG!"

It started in the ‘70s at least. The ‘70s was still common to have smokers, so us non-smokers started being relegated to the closed rooms. In the ‘80s they pulled the switcheroo so now we were starting to see the smokers in a bubble. Then they were kicked out altogether in the ‘90s. I recall when I first started as a professional. Hung out with my super and another new girl. Both of them smoked. In the winter, I was appalled how we went down to the loading docks so they could be somewhat warm while smoking.

Never smoked.

Never been tempted to smoke.

But you, my good sir, do present a wonderful argument for taking it up.
