They need to name one of these variants after Mad Cow—the Mooooooo variant!

they have to send samples in to some lab and run tests, to find out which type it is.
the individual person from whom the sample was taken doesn’t find out what variety he or she has.
In addition, see this info about the Mu variety:
This post is about a Dr Jha at Brown Univ:

“Dr. Ashish Jha of Brown U says don’t worry about this one. He also said that cloth masks are worthless. This was from an interview with Chris Wallace. I couldn’t find the link to post. Hope someone can. Think it was yesterday. Worth listening to. He also said Biden should shut his mouth.”

Chris Wallace actually interviewed someone that doesn’t toe the party line? Hard to believe. What are Chris’s ratings these days, I wonder.”

‘They exist, but did not infect enough to grow’
Then it seems we’ll run out of Greek alphabet before we run out of variants..
Well, when we reach the variant formerly known as Prince, then you’ll know we’ve hit DEFCON 1!!
I am right there with you.
wonder how it got here...
Also known as the Midterm variant. Expected to reach its peak in early November 2022.
Good a place as any for some data:
About 2 million 65+ people die in the US in a normal year. That’s based on 2018 data with projection forward for opioids and other trends in place.
In 2020, the number was about 2.5 million. 25% increase in deaths over a normal year.
Note that this 25% increase adds to only about 5% of the total 65+ population. That 5% is replaced by age 64 turning 65 over a year or two. Society has to decide if losing 5% of that age segment is worthy of measures to save them, or to ignore the deaths.
I won’t give this fairy tale BS a second thought until it is unequivocally proven that:
1. WooFlu is spread exclusively by murder hornets, and
2. There’s a nest of them in my den behind the 70” flat screen,
3. They are responsible for siphoning off a not unsubstantial amount of my Elijah Craig.
BINGO!
could they just ask the chinese how many new variants they have available to release upon the world. Also couldn’t we all end covid by quarantining china. No one enters or leaves china forever. End of new variants.
The variants don’t come from China

These are some other numbers.
Covid was the third leading cause of death.
As you know many of the Covid deaths are in dispute, since almost all of them involved folks with other diseases at the same time.
Imho this was little more than a severe flu—way overplayed...
where do the variants come from?...
No, it’s the moops.
70-79% of 65+ population has hypertension, the #2 comorbidity for Covid deaths.
So there’s generally no point in saying the people had something else wrong with them. If they were over 65, they had something else wrong with them. There’s really no point in mentioning comorbidity if everyone old has one.
where do the variants come from?..
mutation. viruses are little more than strands of DNA.
Thats a high bar...especially the Elijah Craig...
:D
>where do the variants come from?...<
A variant is a mutation. Mutations take place when replication of the virus in an infected cell is non precise.
Unlike many viruses, the Covid virus replicates in an unstable way. The newly created virus particle in the cell is much more often imprecise than a stable virus.
This means every single infected cell in the entire world can generate mutated (imprecise replicated) virus particles.
Thus, the variants can come from anywhere.
The real story is the jabs never showed statistically significant results and were timed to roll out of flu season. Now that we’re rolling into flu season again, it’s some super duper variant that is not controlled by the shots, heaven help us, not that the shots never did any good to start with!
