Is Afghanistan Pakistan's protégé?
8/18/2021 | Corn Pop Was A Bad Dude

Where is Pakistan? I just finished watching the fictional documentary of Charlie Wilson's War. I am also ashamed to admit that I have recently watched Rambo III.

Ironically, both of these films have a few things in common. Not counting that both are being extremely stupid and idiotic. They both portrayed massive refugee camps in North Pakistan near Peshewar.

Were they really just massive Taliban recruiting and training camps?

Now that they got fundamental Islamic Extremist in there they saw no need to continue their so call humanitarian help?

They have not offered any help to Americans or even pressure to the Taliban?

The Taliban is a creation of the Pakistani ISI.
They run the madrassas that feed the recruits to the field operations.

They would turn over American refugees over to who they recognize as the rightful rulers of Afghanistan.

This started 40 years ago. Not 20.

Where do you think Taliban gets its supplies and money? Pakistan and Qatar. Some also from the heroin trade and some from other sources, but mostly from the above.

I am not sure about that. Taliban are Sunni, Iran Shia.
Until 2001 Iran was supporting the Northern Alliance, which included Afghan Shia’s. During the 2001 war, Iran was actually sort of on our site for some time. One time US and Iran shared common enemy.
Nowadays, I am not sure, but I doubt it. Do you have any info about that?

Pakistan has been so silent and unhelpful for such an tremendous ally.

This whole situation is just crazy. Do we really have this many traitors in high public office?

Obviously, there are other supporting Taliban, but they are more undercovers. All kind of shady interests, who knows who.

They are even closing the border to prevent people escapes. Shame.
Pakistan was never really good US ally. During the Cold war, India was SU ally, so naturally US supported Pakistan.
Since the collapse of SU, India became more of an ally of the US. Especially Pres. Trump was heavily courting India, so Pakistan became even less of an ally.
BTW, Pakistan is such a screwed country! Kind of a volcano of hundreds of different interests.
The only common denominator is Sunni Muslim faith. Not exactly the best nation building glue.

Speaking of old movies, I just rewatched Uncle Buck. The interiors were filmed at an abandoned high school in a Chicago suburb where they built sets in the 3 gyms, including a 2 story interior for his brothers house he came to stay at. But the old joke about shouting “Hey, look over there!” to distract people isn’t meant to be official foreign policy. I saw an article over at Breitbart about that, ‘Biden Tries to Pivot to Pandemic While Americans Still Stuck in Afghanistan’, which you can find there, so give that a look. Trump could handle more than one thing at a time, but Joe couldn’t multitask his way out of a wet paper bag. They also built ‘gym’ sets for Buck’s apartment, his girlfriend’s apartment and more. Their production facilities were also at the old school!

And after Russia and the U.S. failed, China will be next and then perhaps India can take a turn.

India and Pakistan used to be part of the same country. Another botched partitioning effort by the British (just like their Middle East disaster).

I’ve said this all along.
Pakistani uses Afghanistan as their proxy.
Pakistan is used as the staging area, supply depot, medical services and even supply’s the soldiers.
All while the U.S. pays them billions each year.

I don’t let any of the Islamic people hide behind their differences when it comes to anything involving the US....they only side with us when there’s great monetary advantage for them..... They all ride the Islamic Death Horse when push comes to shove.....and they ride to conquer.

The Paki ISI think they have won. I’m not so sure about that. The Taliban play a really long game. Now that they have a country back and direct money and drug profits, I think their next objective is . . . TalibPakistan. Be careful what you ask for . . .

As a matter of fact, we really should stop any help and cut them off.
They hosted Bin Laden, support Taliban, China, persecute Christians, etc.
Geopolitically they are less and less strategical, since we are now friends with India and SU is no more.
During the time of cold war, they were the “Trujillo’s” of the Asia, but no more.

Taliban found shelter in Pakistan during the winter and anytime, when needed. The anti-Taliban people are not even allowed to Pakistan now.
