Pence is not "doomed", there's a life outside of politics. He may find his calling learning to make brooms. After all, nobody knew what a brilliant artist Hunter Biden is until he picked up that cocaine straw and started to blow paint through it.

Pence isn’t as good or as bad as commentators and commenters think, but politically, he’s not really a leading man. He got to be VP and that was the high point of his life and career — certainly higher than most of us will ever get — and now it’s over.

God bless President Trump. I love him but I don’t think anyone would seriously dispute he was crappy at personnel choices. I don’t think Pence was necessary to nail down the conservative base. Did a serviceable job, but milquetoast and insufficiently dynamic to lead the party. I didn’t want him in 2016, and I don’t want him in 2024. That said, possession of supposed powers on January 6 is bull crap.

The only "violence" on January 6 was when an unarmed protestor was shot by the police. Except for that it was truly a "mostly peaceful protest". Any "news" article that says otherwise is a joke. Even focusing on the protest and not on the cheated election is a distraction from the real story.
The same for any discussion about Mike Pence. Whether or not Pence is a "hero" or "turncoat" is a distraction. The #1 story is the election was cheated. That's the part we should focus on.
