I agree. All he had to do was not be near his neck. George would be in jail and the cop would be working.
I get that he died from relatively pre-existing causes (heart issue and drug OD) but the cop, acting as callously as he did, during the guys arrest, acted without regard to the prisoner. I imagine that cops become calloused to the things they see, and the creeps they deal with, but in the end, this cops actions, in my mind rated at least a manslaughter conviction with something along the lines of a 10 year sentence. Unfortunately, this case has turned into a political football and the DNC psyops went into action (BLM and Antifa). Chauvin was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but his actions showed a complete disregard for the prisoner who was no longer struggling. When I watched the video, I came away with the sense that Chauvin was a complete psychopath, who appeared to be dispensing instant justice for contempt of cop.
There are many problems with the jury/trial, such that I think the appeals court will give him a new trial, eventually.

Nonsense. Chauvin followed the proper procedure. Floyd wouldn’t have survived regardless, he’d have O.D.’d in the squad car.
