I’d be quite leery about importing ANY critters into Australia. If you aren’t already familiar with it, do a search to see what happened when they imported some rabbits.

Let the liberals run around putting teeny little condoms on them.

Let’s make a deal, Australia.

Send us all your rats and we’ll send you all our ‘Rats.
At least we can exterminate rodents (sending white ice into their nests can be very effective).

The entire article consists of farmers waiting for the government to solve the problem for them. Sad.

They need some Rat Terriers.

LOL, I was just going to say something similar. Import some Jack Russells or wiener dogs if you want to see a true rodent holocaust.

“Australia’s out-of-control mouse plague will cut the value of state’s winter crop by $1million.”

There has to be some zeros missing from that estimate.

Jack Russell Terriers

I have a JRT. If she saw a mouse she would run up to me, point at it and try to get me to do something about it.

It sounds like they have more than enough mice and rats to feed hungry kitties for a long time and mice would probably be easier for them to catch than birds. They are their natural prey. Of course, the cats should be neutered and vaccinated against rabies before they are released.

Plus, I think it would be easier to round up feral cats than wild birds of prey.

Isn't that why the Egyptians worshipped cats because they protected their grain from mice and rats? Sounds logical - except for the worshipping part. I mean, I love and adore my kitties, but I don't worship them. ;o)

Yea, I don’t see any worship needs either.

But I find their abilities to protect a home and business from invading vermin to be simply Divine.
