Australia's out-of-control mouse plague will cut the value of state's winter crop by $1million as the eight month-long scourge continues to worsen, the nation's farmers have warned.
The government-funded MouseAlert website shows sightings have doubled since March, with a growing number of mice being sighted in and around Sydney.
NSW Farmers Vice President Xavier Martin said farmers were abandoning some paddocks and couldn't defer sowing winter crops any longer.
Researchers meanwhile have warned 'without a concerted baiting effort in the next few weeks this could easily turn into a two-year plague event'.

I’d be quite leery about importing ANY critters into Australia. If you aren’t already familiar with it, do a search to see what happened when they imported some rabbits.
