The voters of Texas are apparently extremely happy with Mr. Cornyn. They have elected him to the Senate four times, most recently in 2020. He will not face the voters again until 2026.
Republican voters in particular support Cornyn strongly having given him a 76% majority in his 2020 GOP primary race against four opponents. The closest opponent in the primary to Cornyn was Dwayne Stovall with 12% of the vote. In the general election Cornyn receive 53.5% of the popular vote, giving him a nearly 10 percentage points margin over the Democrat candidate.
For those who believe the answer to restoring our liberty is voting out the RINO’s in the primaries, Mr. Cornyn is illustrative of the difficulty of doing so. Lindsay Graham and Mitch McConnell, also reelected in 2020, are other examples of the power of the GOP establishment.
I wish we could. We need t bill that eliminates automatic or near automatic citizenship for everyone who sets foot on our soil. And one that immediately deports , without a hearing, illegal caught. We need to get tough or surrender our nation as the democrat,s have decreed.
