Lessons from the trial: Pray for BOTH Derek Chauvin & George Floyd families
The Glenn Beck Show ^ | April 21, 2021 | Glenn Beck

Posted on 04/21/2021 3:03:57 PM PDT by TBP

Fifteen years ago, when a man murdered several Amish children, the victims' families and community not only forgave the man responsible — but they also embraced his family, because his family was suffering too. Today, Glenn says, the world is responding to the decision made yesterday in the George Floyd trial, which found former police officer Derek Chauvin guilty on all three charges. Whether or not you agree with the jury's decision, don't forget that Chauvin's family — just like George Floyd's family — also lost somebody they love. So, in order to heal as a nation, let us remember lessons from the Amish and move forward with forgiveness and grace for all.

Today I am holding in prayer George Floyd, Derek Chauvin, and their families. Both families are hurting, both are grieving. Whatever you think about what happened, the families and the community need support right now. All of them. We cannot exclude anyone. Whatever you think of Glenn Beck, thsi segment of his from this morning's program was excellent, and Beck encapsulates my feelings on this very well. Instead of letting this be a wedge to divide us and pit us against each other, Let us use this as an opportunity to support each other and lift each other up, like the Amish after the 2006 murders of their daughters in Nickel Mine, PA. Let's be like that. Let's focus on love, forgiveness, and healing.

I’m sure that $27 million payoff will ease the pain.

I doubt Floyd’s family is all that upset. He was a bottom feeding criminal who abandoned his children and now his family got 27 million from the state.

Even so, you know Beck will get as much crap from the Left as from the Right for that suggestion.

george’s family has $27M - which they wouldn’t trade to have their drug addled kid back in a million years. They don’t need my prayers there Glenn.

Tired of getting preached to by Glenn Beck.

How about he get back to his chalkboard to tell us the commies are (and have always been) using race as a wedge issue to bring about revolution?

I have nothing but contempt for the Floyd family. I’m sorry to say this but the way to live without accountability in today’s America it seems to me you have to be born African American.

Nope. I am way tired of the George Floyds. I n every case it’s always been a thug with Rodney King or OJ Simpson a thugvon Martin Michael Brown

I’m sick and tired of this I have no compassion for people who stick a gun in a pregnant woman’s belly while his buddies thugs look for drugs. Who burglarize, who commit strong armed robbery or a who slice peoples throats where their heads practically come off

Good riddance. And to their families who exploit this for financial gain screw them not 1 gram of sympathy here

I wrote to the station owner of the local conservative am station that carries him and stated why I wanted him replaced (for badmouthing President Trump in office). The owner told me he wouldn’t.

I now admit there were times I listened for a few minutes and he brought out detailed research on plans of the Communists and ways in which the Left is undermining the election system that I had never heard about elsewhere.

So he does some good regardless of the well known limitations he has shown.

I'll be praying for all the future victims of this new law called Unintentional Murder in the Second Degree. Seems that the 'Second Degree' means the murder was not only unintentional, but it was also inadvertent.

Let's see if I've got this correct. Bar Exam Question #32:

A white male (William) is driving sober down the highway when he suddenly collides with a van driven by Jose, an illegal immigrant coyote, high on Meth with advanced heart disease and having no Driver License whatsoever, transporting seven female illegal immigrants over the age of 18 to the Oasis Massage Parlor where New England Patriots owner Robert Craft receives his weekly massages. Jose is killed in the accident. What are the charges most likely to be Filed under our current laws?:

(a) William is charged with Unintentional Murder in the 2nd Degree

(b) Robert Kraft is charged with Solicitation of Prostitution and Sex Trafficking

(c) Former President Bill Clinton is charged with Sexual Assault of Kathleen Willey

(d) Former FBI Director James Comey is charged with violating the Hatch Act

Sorry. There are SOOOO many others who are suffering where the loved one lost wasn’t a criminal resisting arrest.

Very true. And on top of that he turned out to be a damn good earner. I mean...how many meth and fentanyl addicts can “earn” their families $27 million?
