Herschel Walker is considering rushing to the end zone in Washington, D.C., potentially challenging Sen. Raphael Warnock's reelection bid.
The former football star, who has the backing of former President Donald Trump if he decides to enter the race, said he and his family are prayerfully considering whether he should challenge Warnock in Georgia's upcoming Senate race.
"I'm very honored that they would consider me running for the Senate, and my family, we're still going through this process of praying and really considering it ... and people want me to decide right now, and I said, 'Guys, I'm going to take my time because this is a very serious, serious thing,'" he told Fox Business's Maria Bartiromo on Sunday morning. "But I will tell you this: Herschel Walker believes in God, I believe in this country, I believe in the people, and I'm going to fight for the people of Georgia if I run, so just stay tuned. ... It's going to be exciting."
When asked what his policy platform would be, Walker said he hopes to reunite people amid a fractious political climate.
"My priority most of all would be America. ... I want to bring people back together," he said.
He’s a good man and an honest one. I hope he runs.

Herschel could very easily take down Warnock, IMO. HW might not win the GA black vote, but he’d peel off a decent chunk.

If the Georgia Secretary of State is in charge of voting he has the responsibility of enforcing the state’s regulations as to who votes. And eliminate those from voter lists who don’t qualify.
Assign prosecutors to personally canvass and investigate. Check if military actually voted by asking them. Identify all voters by checking on legal age their residency and citizenship. If found they do not qualify charge Illegals including state visitors known as snowbirds also include any technical computer fraudulent Italian programming testimony when presenting to the court and get these election results tossed. I’m starting to wonder if Herschel really wants to run.
He has been publicly ‘considering’ a bid for over the last month. Trump has already endorsed him. What else is he waiting for? If it’s a matter of attracting enough dollar donors, that should been explored in a more discreet manner.
Don’t make “Cancel” targets out of your donors if it can be helped.
Warnock is a terrible candidate and incredibly vulnerable especially after his Easter tweet and rage the GOP base feels after the All Star Game stuff...what’s Stacy Abrams and Lebron going to do claim racism against Hershel?

Agree. In fact, that could be his most notable legacy, along with Appellate and Supreme Court appointments.
If Tuberville can win in Alabama, he could win.
It's a tough decision with much to weigh.
He has a family to consider. He will be brutalized in the media, cast as an Uncle Tom, possibly accused of sexual assault, he and his family harassed in public, every aspect of his life investigated and mischaracterized as illegal and immoral. Friends and family will betray him. He has businesses that employ hundreds of people. He will be attacked financially.
And that's if he can get past the right wing "purity squad" and the GOPe.
He will be frivolously sued by the mob, and accused of attacking women, and he will have various phobias, his house will be vandalized and his family threatened.
That kind of stuff would make a man pause. But he can do it.
Most of them are, until they get to DC and are threatened to fall into line with the establishment and become one of the swamp monsters.
There was a reason Trump couldn't take down the swamp, too. It would have exposed too many Republicans, all of which want to retain their power and $$$.
Those are good points. Based on all the due diligence he needs to do, I think he will probably decide not to do it.
I hope to be wrong on that. Hersh has had some severe and prolonged bouts mental illness in his life. “Multiple personalities”, some of those personalities quite violent to women. He apparently has it under control now.
Herschel has shown courage in overcoming these difficulties and giving public talks to encourage others in similar situations, especially other men. He may not want all of that dredged up and put on public exhibit by his opponents. We will see. Unfortunately, this is 100% correct. Popular black conservatives are the democrats' worst nightmare. He will be brutally and constantly attacked by the democrats and by the lamestream media (same thing) and has to carefully weigh the pain his family will go through if he runs.
