The federal prosecutor who said Donald Trump could face charges in the riot at the U.S. Capitol was not authorized to speak out, and his remarks caused uproar at the Justice Department, according to a new report.
Michael Sherwin, the Trump-appointed former acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, broke protocol by not seeking department approval for the interview with 60 Minutes on Sunday, people briefed on the matter told CNN.
The remarks reportedly infuriated senior officials in the department, where new Attorney General Merrick Garland is pushing for a 'no drama' policy and discouraging comments on active investigations.

"They're not going to stop," she said.
"This is a movement, I'm telling you, they're not going to stop, and everyone beware because they're not going to stop before Election Day in November, and they're not going to stop after Election Day.
And everyone should take note of that, on both levels, that they're not going to let up, and they should not, and we should not.”
"...a longer version of the exchange posted by the 'Late Show' shows Harris saying that the protests continuing is "critically important" to achieve change.
Yeah, but those were mostly-peaceful protests ...... /according to Democrat/Leftist CNN

“A longtime admirer of Fidel Castro, [CNN founder Ted] Turner has called the former Cuban president 'one hell of a guy.'
In 2001 Turner told a class at Harvard Law School, "You’d like him [Castro]. He has been the leader of Cuba for 40 years. He’s the most senior leader in the world, and most of the people that are still in Cuba like him."
Castro, in turn, holds Turner in high regard, so much so that the dictator was the inspiration behind the creation of CNN International.”

“On Nov. 21, 1970 she [Jane Fonda, ex-wife of CNN founder Ted Turner] told a University of Michigan audience of some 2,000 students, “If you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would some day become communist.”
At Duke University in North Carolina she [Jane Fonda] repeated what she had said in Michigan, adding “I, a socialist, think that we should strive toward a socialist society, all the way to communism.”
She didn’t merely protest the Vietnam War, as [Liberal host] Oprah Winfrey wrote, Jane Fonda took the side of the North Vietnamese.”

“The actress [Jane Fonda] drew bitter criticism after being photographed atop an anti-aircraft gun during a controversial 1972 visit to North Vietnam.
Meeting with TV critics Wednesday to discuss a new HBO documentary on her life, she expressed regret for that moment.
She said it was thoughtless to perch on the gun and called it “horrible” to think about the message her action sent to soldiers and their families, she said.”

My personal guess is that Ted Turner is behind the Georgia Guidestones.
Maybe a group with Ted Turner involved. Just a guess, admittedly.
Looks like a comment by a Trump appointee trying to win favor with his new boss and keep his job and it blew up in his face
I think we’re fooling ourselves if we believe that’s not a possibility. Of course it’s a possibility.
Its PROBABLE!!!!!
“Now the question is, is he criminally culpable for everything that happened during the siege, during the breach?”
No, that is not a question, it is an accusatory smear. And no, Trump cannot be held criminally culpable for the riot under the 1st amendment.
By a stretch, if he were to actually happen, from now on, no candidate could ever assemble a rally without agent provocateurs joining in and causing a riot — which is what happened Jan. 6.
...could face charges in the riot at the U.S. Capitol was not authorized to speak out... new Attorney General Merrick Garland is pushing for a 'no drama' policy and discouraging comments on active investigations.
Perjury, obstruction of justice, lawfare, extrajudicial acts, rule by decree, jury tampering, kangaroo courts, falsified evidence, treason-- all still okay.
The DOJ probably set up the entire interview. That’s how much I trust them.
In short the new ‘policy’ is to do whatever the hell they want to do and keep the public in the dark...
One more commie DC rat hole...
Idiot must have wanted face time, he should have illegally leaked the info like the others do.
Is he another Vindman ?
