Biden's make or break moment: president aims to build on success of relief bill-BARF!
Guardi-HEAAVE!-Spasm spasmspasm-HEAAVE! (missed the toilet) ^ | 13/3/21 | David Smith

In the White House Rose Garden, where for four years Donald Trump raucously celebrated political wins with his allies, it was now the turn of Democrats to take a victory lap – masked and physically distanced, of course.

Kamala Harris, the vice-president, heaped praise on Joe Biden for signing a $1.9tn coronavirus relief bill, the biggest expansion of the American welfare state in decades. “Your empathy has become a trademark of your presidency and can be found on each and every page of the American Rescue Plan,” Harris said.

Democrats this week passed the plan into law; now they have to sell it. Friday’s event with members of Congress fired the starting gun for Biden, Harris and their spouses to mount an aggressive marketing campaign, travelling the country to tell Americans directly how the hard won legislation will improve their lives.

Salesmanship was always seen as Trump’s forte but this is a golden opportunity for Biden, a once unlikely saviour. The oldest president ever elected – at age 78 – is riding high in opinion polls. His rescue plan is endorsed by three in four citizens. His opposition is in disarray with Republicans struggling to find a coherent counter- narrative, squabbling over Trump and obsessing over culture wars.

But Biden’s long career will have taught him the laws of political gravity: presidents and prime ministers who start on the up inevitably take a fall. He has also spoken of the need to avoid the fate of Barack Obama who, having intervened to stave off financial disaster in 2009, was repaid with a “shellacking” for Democrats in the midterm elections.

How can David Smith pontificate so much with his mouth full?

Biden's long career has taught him that he'll have jello for dessert if he says his lines right.

“Biden’s long career has taught him that he’ll have jello for dessert if he says his lines right.”

Exactly. It’s absurd to see these headlines about “Biden aims to do this” or “Biden seeks to do that.” At this point, the senile old dude ain’t aiming or seeking to do much other than have a bigger spoonful of metamucil tomorrow. We’re like in the old Soviet Union in which their media would pretend that some decrepit old fart like Chernenko or Andropov was the epitome of vim and vigor.

Whom exactly do they think they’re kidding? Winston? This ain’t 1984. And why are they so concerned with puking their double-think all the way across the pond?

You can fool some of the people some of the time, and most of the people most of the time, but you don’t have to bother fooling British people about American politics at all. They’ll fawn over those damned princes and princesses until the mushroom clouds go up.

Biden is a dead man walking, a puppet who is programmed to do as directed.

What we see is the presidential commmittee plan unforlding. Its run by Suasan Rice with channels to Barrack Obungo, Val Jar, and various representatives from the swamp, including Soros and Gates.( Who do you think printed those T shirts for the illegal aliens “ Biden Let Me in”, ther eis a whole SOROS organization putting things together to wage demographic war on America.)

Do not bneoieve for a moment that Biden has any input whatsoever. He is a corportae president. He is a zero.

You’ll know Biden will soon go when they stop covering and editing Biden’s geriatric faux pas.

Covid Relief Act

Slightly more than 11 reams of paper (500 sheets) are needed to print out this 5,593 page monstrosity!!

Also in the bill: hundreds of unrelated legislative items negotiated by leadership to win votes from various constituencies. It includes extended tax breaks for the alcohol industry and motor speedways, comprehensive energy legislation, revised rules for music copyrights, approval of two new Smithsonian museums and lessened penalties for the transportation of water hyacinths. There’s also an entire section on Tibet, including a statement of U.S. policy on how to determine the country’s next spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, and the decriminalization of the use of the Swiss coat of arms.

One section repealed a variety of little-known criminal penalties for minor violations, including the transportation of the water hyacinths and the use of the Swiss coat of arms. The section also decriminalizes the unauthorized application of theft prevention decals or devices, and the unauthorized use of the 4-H Club emblem, the “Smokey Bear” character or name, the “Woodsy Owl” character, name or slogan, or “The Golden Eagle Insignia.”

The quote is attributed to Talleyrand in speaking about the restored Bourbon dynasty after the abdication of Napoleon, and subsequently used against the French socialists and others.
