As President Joe Biden constructs his new administration, individuals from the Obama administration are quietly resurfacing in positions of power. Some of these people are well-known, others lesser so. But they all played critical roles at various times during the Obama administration.
Susan Rice, Obama’s national security adviser and now the “top adviser to the president on domestic policy and related decisions,” has admitted to participating in the unmasking of members of the Trump transition team. Unmasking is the process in which a U.S. citizen’s identity is revealed from collected surveillance.
Initially, Rice publicly denied the allegations, claiming that “I know nothing about this. I was surprised to see reports from [House Intelligence Committee] Chairman [Devin] Nunes on that count today.” Two weeks later, Rice stated that she hadn’t done so for “for any political purposes.” It was later reported that Rice told House investigators that “she unmasked the identities of senior Trump officials to understand why the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates was in New York.”
Rice was also a participant in an early January 2017 meeting with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, FBI Director James Comey, and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, during which President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming national security adviser Michael Flynn’s call with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak was discussed.
According to a filing in the Flynn legal case, notes from FBI Agent Peter Strzok revealed that “former President Obama, James Comey, Sally Yates, Joe Biden, and apparently Susan Rice discussed the transcripts of Flynn’s calls and how to proceed against him. Mr. Obama himself directed that ‘the right people’ investigate General Flynn.” According to Strzok’s notes, it also appears that “Biden personally raised the idea of the Logan Act” that would initially be used to pursue Flynn.

Obama’s Treasury Department regularly surveilled retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn’s financial records and transactions beginning in December 2015 and well into 2017, before, during and after when he served at the White House as President Donald Trump’s National Security Director, a former senior Treasury Department official, and veteran of the intelligence community, told the Star Newspapers.
“I started seeing things that were not correct, so I did my own little investigation, because I wanted to make sure what I was seeing was correct” she said. “You never want to draw attention to something if there is not anything there.” The whistleblower said she only saw metadata, that is names and dates when the general’s financial records were accessed. “I never saw what they saw.”
By March 2016, the whistleblower said she and a colleague, who was detailed to Treasury from the intelligence community, became convinced that the surveillance of Flynn was not tied to legitimate criminal or national security concerns, but was straight-up political surveillance among other illegal activity occurring at Treasury.
“When I showed it to her, what she said, ‘Oh, sh%t!’ and I knew right then and there that I was right – this was some shady stuff,” the whistleblower said. “It wasn’t just Flynn,” the whistleblower said. “They were targeting other US citizens, as well.”
Only two names are listed in the whistleblower’s official paperwork, the others must remain sealed, she said.
The second name is Paul J. Manafort Jr., the one-time chairman of Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Susan Rice (in 2020) is reportedly on Joe Biden’s shortlist to be his running mate, and because of this, she’s clearly trying to get ahead of negative stories that are bound to come up should she be selected. The most significant story is the role she played as chief propagandist for the Obama administration after the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S consulate in Benghazi.

CIRCA 2020 Progressives alarmed by Rice’s vast financial investments

The multimillionaire Rice (then Biden's VP finalist) bought into the company that owns the Keystone XL pipeline project — and many other Democratic Party villains.
When Susan Rice was under consideration for secretary of state in 2012, she was attacked by environmentalists for holding stock in the controversial Keystone Pipeline XL deal.
Now, with the multimillionaire Rice then in contention to be Joe Biden’s running mate, that investment is again drawing fire from progressives.
They say her extensive past holdings in an array of industries at odds with liberal causes — particularly the Keystone investment — could make her ill-suited to be vice president in a Democratic administration.
It's gonna be a long four years...

Trump never had anything approaching a functional Administration. He was stymied at every turn and this is why his legacy was rolled back in about 2 weeks by his successor’s executive orders. I think that was by design — both parties.
Top that off with the fact that once they’ve been recycled back in to gummit, they can use “politics” as their criminal defence when the charges come down.
