Dick Cheney, the former vice president, and Liz Cheney, the third-ranking Republican in the House of Representatives, drew on their significant political capital and decades of experience in Washington to attack the president’s false claims of vote stealing and his undemocratic effort to overturn the election, which President-elect Joe Biden won.

Meanwhile, in the two contested states where the GOP has the governorship - Arizona and Georgia - the governors are fighting against Trump.

Remember when many Freepers worshipped Bush-Cheney? A lot of party bigwigs (and a good number of suburban doccer mom Republican voters) still do.
As for me, I didn’t vote for the Republican candidates for president in 2004, 2008, or 2012. I happily voted for Trump in hopes that we’d seen the last of Cheney Republicanism. But it looks like the party’s future belongs to Cheney followers, so I’ll be leaving the GOP again.
The GOP wants to go the way of the Whig party. What a pack of lying, self-serving creeps.
Although I do not believe elections mean anything anymore, I think that deregistering from the Republican party and then letting the RNC know, might be of some effect, especially if they do not under any circumstances get any money from anyone. Money speaks, if nothing else.

I think Mr. Trump should spend the next three years holding rallies specifically geared to unseating every Republican Senator and Representative that did not support him in this fraudulent election.

As a lurker, I watched freepers get flamed and even banned for criticizing Bush, Cheney and the Iraq War. I am not optimistic that, once Trump is gone, many freepers and other rank-and-file Republicans won’t fall in line with the party establishment - and denounce dissenters - just like they did when Bush was president, and when McCain and Romney were running.
