Bacon and beer is a match made in heaven. Bacon beer, on the other hand, could be something even better. Waffle House, the iconic restaurant chain, has teamed up with Georgia-based brewery Oconee Brewing Company to offer the first Waffle House-branded beer called Bacon & Kegs. Leslie Tillery, Oconee's media director, said the collaboration first came about after she reached out to Waffle House in January to gauge interest in collaborating on a beer.

I wonder what Hilaire Belloc would have made of this.

He was known to barge uninvited into the basement of friends. Unwashed and stinking from a weeks-long pilgrimage, he would curse and bellow for beer and bacon as he roughly rummaged through a larder not his own.

While I don’t think I would like this....a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do...I’ll take one for the team and try it.

Deschutes Brewing Co. already makes a coffee infused stout. Now all somebody has to do is come up with an egg infused lager and I can once again "drink" my breakfast.

Although, first time around, that didn't work out so great for me.

Heck, nothing wrong with having breakfast for lunch or dinner.

It's all about moderation.
