Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is sounding the alarm over the prospect of a Trump victory on Tuesday, warning that Trump could declare himself the winner before enough votes are counted and ultimately “attempt to suppress enough votes to win.”
“This comes as no surprise. It has been Trump’s strategy for months, and nobody should fall for it. It’s why he is demonizing mail-in ballots and sabotaging the postal service,” Sanders said in response to an Axios report alleging that the president will declare victory Tuesday night if it appears he is “ahead.”

There should not be any votes cast after November 3 so where does the suppression come in? Other than Alaska, there are no Trump states in the Pacific time zone. So should there be any meaningful votes cast after 9 or 10 EST? I can’t see Trump declaring victory before 10 est.
The Democrats weren’t shy about calling Florida in 2000 before the panhandle closed.
Why would Trump do that? And, risk people waiting in lines to vote for Trump to leave, thinking Trump already won it?

Carter was getting his ass kicked anyway. That was their excuse. Reagan was winning up and down the east coast and throughout the midwest. Senate seats were falling. But Carter was a lot more decent than most Democrats, even then.
He’s the one who doubled the federal judiciary and thirty years later, gave us all these judges. It took a long time for that to blow up on them.
How is he going to “suppress votes” if he declares after the polls close?
Trump has that power? Why are we even having elections...?
They are rightfully worried that an early victory for Trump will effect west coast elections.
All we really need are some early precinct reports to tell us everything. If places that were 50/50 in 2016 start showing Trump at 60/40 that will tell. Pollsters don’t do 10,000 people like a precinct will.
I remember in 2018 during the midterms, Fox News deliberately called the house in favor of the Dems, they did it on purpose to suppress the vote, I didnt hear the commies screaming then
