Positive polls placing Donald Trump ahead in Pennsylvania and Michigan has led to a fight over prediction accuracy among establishment and upstart pollsters.
An exclusive poll for The Independent, meanwhile, found the majority of Americans believe Trump has harmed the standing of the US in the world.
In Texas, Trump says he is “way ahead in Texas” despite opinion polling showing a statistical toss-up in the Lone Star State. Joe Biden’s running mate Kamala Harris is visiting the state on Friday as Democrats increasingly believe they can cause an upset.
It comes as the state’s 2020 voter turnout surpassed its 2016 total, four days ahead of Election Day, in a milestone that is expected to fuel Republican concerns about the party’s election chances.
Nationally, more than 85 million ballots have been cast, more than 60 per cent of the total vote in 2016...

It looks to me like the dims know they are going to suffer an embarrassing loss. Biden sounds angry and defeated while Trump appears happy and confident.

I tend to agree. Trump’s demeanor at rallies doesn’t seem like that of a guy whose internal polling shows him well behind. Maybe he’s just a good poker player, but he does seem in good spirits.
We’ll find out soon enough.

I think Biden just got the “Pat Caddell” talk.
The reason Harris is in Texas is because the rats know no one likes her. But they can’t put her in the basement too, so they have to put her somewhere to act like she’s campaigning, but will not cause her unlikeable self to lose something that is not yet lost.
They know Texas is a lost cause, so they send her there so that she can’t screw up something in, say, New Jersey.
There is a theory that pollsters will have their polls closer to reality (vs. Biden ahead by 20 or something ridiculous like that) when the actual election day is very near. I'm thinking this is what is going on. Trump was never as far behind Biden as the polls suggested.
Or, a thought occurs, that maybe since "Slow Joe" has been out and about lately, people are seeing, and hearing, for themselves how frail and cognitively slow he actually is.

Those poll numbers are TOTALLED skewed. They are missing one large, important demographic. If you include the deceased, there is a very comfortable lead for Hidin’ and Heels-up.
In all seriousness, it is up to the Republican Party to ensure that the dead don’t vote on November 3!

And it is a ridiculous, false narrative - the opposite is quite true. A big barrage of campaign ads showing the multiple signing ceremonies of peace treaties, improved trade relations, etc. would have negated this nonsense. The media did not cover this to any degree - which is why campaign advertising is effective as you get around media blackouts.
