New Jersey? It may be a leftist dump, but my wife and I had a GREAT time there...dined at Arthur's Steak House in Hoboken (this was the 80's...a long time ago). Then we went to a bar for beers and shots...we were treated as 'novelties' by the locals because we were from Maine, and they had NEVER seen people from Maine before. The women actually followed my wife into the ladies' room to ask her questions about Maine. Also saw one of my favorite all-time t-shirts there...'New Jersey...where the weak are killed and eaten!' ROTFLMAO! Rode the ferry across the Hudson to Manhattan the following day.
Most hated? Naaaah...in my world, that's a tie between Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
