Know the area well. I am right down the Rd in Raritan. Grew up in Bridgewater. Did you participate in the Trump Train 2 weeks ago ?? It started in Flemington and ended in Bedminster. It was pretty cool.
I grew up in Bridgewater! 1964 to 1978, when I left to go south to school.
I’ve done a couple corner rallies in Bedminster this fall.
New Jersey is the reason Hell didn’t make the list.
We were supposed to have a great Spring getaway to the Dunes in Spring, but CoVid foiled those plans. Next year, I guess. I’m not about to let CoVid ruin our upcoming trip to the Florida Panhandle. I can’t make it through a whole year without those white sandy beaches. It’s an annual thing for my family, and we’ve put it off too long already. Won’t be long now. Really ready for a getaway!
P.S. The people in the Midwest are THE BEST! Southerners (where I’m from originally) may be polite as all get out, but Midwesterners are genuine, friendly, and kind-hearted souls, in a different way than those of us from the South are (not that it doesn’t have its share of people like that). So I get what your friend means.

Texas is PROUD to be hated by all the liberal assholes in California, New York, Massachusetts, Minnesota, etc. We wear it like a badge of honor.
I'll tell you where they are, they are all in Mountain Home, Arkansas. I spent the day in Mountain Home and half the people I had contact with were from Chicago. Even the Mayor of Bull Shoals was from Chicago.
