I agree more of those groups will abandon the Dems, but I don’t think they are necessarily in the cities; here in NJ the best and brightest of those groups are moving into suburbs as white Americans recede further and further away from the costs and crime in those areas (suburbs raided by urban bipedal hyenas).

Most southern states have higher crime rates than NJ, but that is none of my business...
I doubt the places where NJ companies are locating are high-crime areas; it would be impossible to fill the jobs.
Cost of living is a bigger factor than “crime.” And a suburban office park is a suburban office park no matter where you put it.
Yes, those office parks are located in less densely populated “safe zones” - because employers were losing out on talent that refused to commute into Newark. The tax burdens tend to be lower there as well - less public school population.
