ROME Pope Francis says the coronavirus pandemic has proven that the magic theories of market capitalism have failed and that the world needs a new type of politics that promotes dialogue and solidarity and rejects war at all costs.
Francis on Sunday laid out his vision for a post-COVID world by uniting the core elements of his social teachings into a new encyclical aimed at inspiring a revived sense of the human family. Fratelli Tutti (Brothers All) was released on the feast day of his namesake, the peace-loving St. Francis of Assisi.

Red Frank has spoken
The Church is in very, very big trouble. This pope was elected by cardinals who likely knew his socialist leanings. He may be acting exactly as they hoped he would. It seems that the Church is rotting from within, and this is very, very sad.
He is not the worst Pope in history, but that is not saying much.
The sum creation of real wealth has the greatest correlation with the degree of social justice. Market capitalism creates such wealth and with it freedom, contentment and happiness. Such countries also care far better for the less fortunate. Socialist economies have been dismal economic, social and political failures.
This Pope is fascinated with socialism and ignores history. Sorry but a rational person cannot take his political rants seriously.
My first response would be: MYOB.
Yes, HIS church is in trouble as long as he keeps ignoring the main point, helping people turn to Jesus.
The Barry Soetoro of the Church.
We have never actually tried free market capitalism! We have always been restrained by Big Guv socialist regulations
“Pink. A mixture of red and plain hot air.”
Perfecto! Thanks.
F**k you Frankie and I’m a Catholic your hates your dumb ass.
Begging for another Reformation, is he?
Pray for the pope, he is a moron and needs the support. Our minister today was especially good, and his point about praying for and treating your enemies with dignity made a lot of sense. I am going to pray for Antifa, BLM and the Pope.
oh, fuck him. Nice to rail against capitalism when you have an unlimited budget.

Especially when I read on FR recently that his highness has a personal account of like 800,000.00. Thats what capitalism will do for you, your excellency.
A South American Maoist as Pope. Well,I ain’t listening.
This Pope's priority is spreading the gospel of Marxist-Lenninist-Maoisim ...
Yet more wisdom from the jawbone of an ass.
What exactly has Pope Francis done about Covid? Couldn’t we all, uh, pontificate, that the Papacy has failed in the pandemic, and needs reform?
Reject capitalism. Return to serfdom! After all, serfdom was good enough for Constantine, who established Catholicism as the church of Rome.
Actually, in Rerum Novarum about 1900, Pope Leo said the Catholic were neither liberal nor socialist. So, until the Enlightenment and Marx, we didn’t know what the Catholic Church’s teachings were, since we didn’t know what they weren’t.
In Quadrissilimo Ano, about 1940, Pope Pius endorsed fascism, or national socialism, like Peron, Franco and Mussilini. That didn’t go too well.
In Popular Progesso, Pope Somebody said, no, wait, not fascism, but democracy!
Then Pope John Paul II, in Centisimus Ano, and “the failure of socialism is anthropoligical in nature.” (Meaning socialism doesn’t recognize the nature of man.) This wasn’t a full-throated endorsement of laissez-faire capitalism, but a statement that Catholics had to allow some degree of private property and free markets. They could be, for example, for a mixed economy or a market economy, just not for a socialist economy.
Now comes another Pope and a rejection of market capitalism.
The infallible truth about the economy flits about, like the latest fashion or music genre. In the meanwhile, the Catholics hold the line on birth control, divorce, and married priests, while their priests commit unspeakable sins with boys.
That’s his message to the world. His motto should be “marxism, marxism and nothing but marxism “.
