North Carolina Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Cal Cunningham has admitted to sending sexual text messages to a California strategist who is not his wife.
Cunningham apologized but said he would not drop out of the race in a statement to multiple news outlets late Friday.
It’s unclear when the messages were sent, but at one point Cunningham says he’s “Nervous about the next 100 days,” which could be a reference to the election.
One hundred days before the election would be July 26.

Surprised this Greensboro paper covers this. In Raleigh, no such news, even though its an admission by his campaign. If it were Tillis, non stop headline, 24x7. R’s should hammer this as the next John Edwards (but as usual, missing in action in NC)

Porking an enlisted man’s wife is a BIG no no for an officer.

Screenshots of the messages first appeared on a website Friday. In the messages, someone identified as Cunningham can be seen telling the recipient they are “historically sexy” and he wants to kiss them. They two discuss the desire to stay overnight together somewhere.

So if this was coming out, let’s hope that’s not part of why Tom Tillis was targeted with some version of “the virus”.
I truly wonder. In some offbeat marriages this sort of behavior is not only tolerable, but expected. Being a demonrat, I’d expect the only horror is getting caught.
