A bigger issue is that Mitch is compromised and has too much CCP money invested in him. He answers to Xi, not to US.

Examine his words: “When the nomination comes out of committee, then I’ll decide when and how to proceed,’ he said.”
He is saying this so he doesn’t tip his hand on the GOP strategy, and so the Dims don’t have extra time to thwart that strategy. Mitch already knows how he wants to proceed if everything falls in line.

This is fake news. McConnell stated already he’s going to hold the vote ASAP, and he’s rounding up the votes, so this is UK Daily Mail fake news.
I wouldn’t worry too much about this article. McConnell never says “I cannot promise a vote before the election.” All he said was “When the nomination comes out of committee, then I’ll decide when and how to proceed.” The article then says “He would not address if that vote would be before or after November 3.” Then all conjecture and speculation by the author.

If Mitch delays this to after election with the time he does have, its AB intentional screwing of Trump and the R base. But, I’m not sure the R Senate would rather be in the minority forever. Leading is hard, so, let’s screw Trump and live off the crumbs the Dems will give us.

The article says he was “walking back” and “refused to give a date” but there is no corresponding quote from him that indicates that at all.

I’m not buying this. It was reported today that The Turtle, Little Linda, and President Trump agreed to limit the Senate questioning of the Nominee to three days.
Even if they allow two weeks to meet with the nominee the vote is one day. President Trump nominates whoever, she meets with the Senators for two weeks, three days of Senate Circus and then a vote.
Well, in all fairness, she may not be the speaker come
January 20th. I fervently hope folks have learned
enough over the last four years, to realize they must
return Congress to Republican control.
Is it possible? It may be. I’m not well versed in the
exact Constitutional provisions for such an occurrence.
Judges should do everything in their power to avoid
this type of situation. It really would be a
Constitutional crisis in my opinion.
That woman in charge for even a day would give our
enemies an open window I don’t want left open.
