What I read was, CNN had pre-selected 100 people, which I think are the cars and then 35 who will actually get to ask questions. But not sure how they’re going to get 35 questions and answers done in an hour.
Trump goes does one with a rat assassin and a crowd that hates him. Taking random gotcha questions lifted right out of rat attack ads. Biden goes to CNN which is all you need know.
I’ve been watching. Nothing but softball questions, couldn’t be in more stark contrast to the Trump townhall. I think there’s been 1 Republican questioner v 10 Democrats. Absurd.
Biden is jumping all over the place during answers, nothing but platitudes. I’d be willing to bet he was supplied all questions in advance. It’s almost like muscle memory after 50 years of politics. Having said that, he hasn’t made a major blunder and it worries me the media can help him limp across the finish line.
Saw where he said why is Trump getting rid of those things where they mail ballots.

Republicans have set a low bar for Biden. So he may be able to meet the bar in the debates.
However, Biden usually sticks his foot in his mouth. So that is also likely to happen.

Yes I am multi tasking between several devices. Not holding my breath that CNN will fact check him but so far he has spouted the usual Trump giving up on covid, Trump getting rid health care, Trump has yet to denounce white supremists, Trump unleashed military on peaceful protesters so he could hold the Bible upside down then go hide in a bunker,etc.
No adversarial questions that I’ve heard.

I hit right about the spot where the retired police chief asked him about the police and the riots and what was he going to do to bring the country back together. Biden gave his usual answer about condemning all violence, then started in about Trump not condemning the right-wingers and white supremacists with their AK-47s.
