What the hell is wrong with James Matis? How is the President “unfit”? Because he has different goals than career politicians and retired military generals? The people elected him, and he makes good decisions.

The RINO senator would have gladly served under Obama. I don’t know how Trump has survived the likes is Coates and Mattis.

When he first took office, Trump seemed to think he could convince deep staters like Coats that he was right. After Coats insisted that the Russia-helped-Trump-"Assessment" was true, he had to go, but Trump needed RINO votes to confirm a replacement.

Yep. Contrast this with Obama. Obama would always show his hand / telegraph his moves. He would tell his adversaries, “We are willing to go this far, but no further.” For example, “We will not put boots on the ground.” This is why they didn’t take his “line in the sand” seriously.
