Former Defense Secretary James Mattis told then-Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats that President Trump was dangerous and unfit, according to excerpts from Bob Woodwards upcoming book Rage.
Mattis, who left the White House at the end of 2018 over differences on defense strategy with the president, warned Coats that there may come a time when we have to take collective action against Trump, according to excerpts of the Woodward book reported upon by The Washington Post,
The Post did not say if Woodwards book clarified what kind of collective action Mattis was referencing.......

Yahoo news is peddling a story today about how CIA John Brennan is shocked (shocked I tell you) at the Woodward report
These are evil times and these evil people appear to be growing even more desperate as we approach the election,
All believers should all be praying on this matter,

What the hell is wrong with James Matis? How is the President “unfit”? Because he has different goals than career politicians and retired military generals? The people elected him, and he makes good decisions.

The RINO senator would have gladly served under Obama. I dont know how Trump has survived the likes is Coates and Mattis. When he first took office, Trump seemed to think he could convince deep staters like Coats that he was right. After Coats insisted that the Russia-helped-Trump-"Assessment" was true, he had to go, but Trump needed RINO votes to confirm a replacement.
Most Hillary voters want more war. Most GOP voters do not, but RINOs do not represent the will of those who elected them.

During the first stage of President Trump's complicated love-hate relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un the "Little Rocket Man" period Trump's national security team was concerned that the two countries came close to nuclear war, journalist Bob Woodward writes in his forthcoming book, Rage. "We never knew whether it was real," Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, then CIA director, is reported to have said, "or whether it was a bluff." Defense Secretary James Mattis took the threat seriously enough to sleep in his clothes and frequent Washington National Cathedral. Who knew Mattis was such a little pussy? I guess he would have shit himself during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Part of being an effective negotiator is to be able to bluff. Trump needed to convince these world leaders that he was willing to put it all on the line. Same as Reagan. This is how he as kept us out of wars and brought peace to several regions.

Yep. Contrast this with Obama. Obama would always show his hand / telegraph his moves. He would tell his adversaries, “We are willing to go this far, but no further.” For example, “We will not put boots on the ground.” This is why they didn’t take his “line in the sand” seriously.
