Here’s the bottom line: it is racist for white parents to care about their own kids, rather than sacrifice their kids for the benefit of blacks.

If this is deemed racist, if more white parents see that the end-game is the destruction of their own kids’ futures, then a lot of parents will decide to embrace racism.

Following the directions of OMB Circular A-76, the government is not to compete with private enterprise. At a minimum, disband the Federal Department of Education and stop all Federal (U.S. taxpayer) funding for education programs. There is a private and homeschooling education industry already.

Secondly, property taxes for education cannot be charged to property owners who do not have children in the public school system. A municipality that charges homeowners for services not rendered is committing fraud.

I am not at all a fan of Jimmy. But, in many ways, he does put his $$ where is mouth is.

When children succeed ( due to the massive “after-schooling” done in the HOME) the school takes the credit.

When children fail blame the child, his parents, and the administration blob.

That’s definitely a win-win argument for the teachers.

But the schools only get the funding as students attend. If a student attends another school, that’s where the funding goes.

Well, no.

If the child goes to another PUBLIC school that is true. If the child is home schooled or sent to a private school that money remains in the system.

Everyone who thinks we can fix this by getting rid of the teachers' unions doesn't really know what it's like to deal with a room full of adolescents. All that will get us is a steady influx of 22 year olds right out of college who get fired and replaced regularly by administrators (like firing coaches of losing teams) who assure parents that "oh, we fired the ones who weren't performing." Almost no one can perform under the current circumstances: the kids are unaccountable. They are the customer now, and the customer is always right. Unless we go back to flunking and kicking out kids who refuse to learn (or to let anyone else learn) only the most amazing individuals can even survive.

Get rid of the unions and before long, no one, but no one, will even want to be a teacher. Rather like being a cop right now.

I agree with your basic premise : get rid of the hoodlums, the troublesome in class, and the kids who refuse to learn.
I agree also with your second premise that if you remove the union, no one will want to teach as there seems to be constant turmoil between administrators
the school boards and the individual classroom teacher.

Isn’t it about time for you to write a book about this stuff? I’m serious. You write very well, you know the subject, and it’s an important subject.

The only thing that helps public school with their test scores is if the black students stay home....
