Been there a few times. It is mostly elevated, as I recall, not easy for pedestrians to get on or off of. I guess the idea is to stop traffic and instigate some kinds of trouble. Why else do it there?
The only way to stop these riots is to terminate housing, food stamp, and other federal benefits, as well as force the wireless companies to terminate cell phone service of the rioters.
The whole thing with this demonstration is to do it with the authorities’ permission and advance blocking of the expressway, thereby preventing ordinary traffic from using it and avoiding confrontations and serious disruptions.
Blocking a highway and holding motorists against their will is NOT peaceful

And they will kill anyone that opposes them just to prove their point.
This might be a good time for the Illinois Tollway Authority to pick-up all the debris that has been lying on the shoulders for years.
