Bezosí Propaganda Rag/Newspaper Praises Communist China
Townhall.com ^ | August 8, 2020 | Chris Talgo

On August 4, The Washington Post—which is owned by the world’s richest man, Jeff Bezos—ran a story under the headline: “Trump views China’s Communist Party as a threat. Young Chinese see it as a ticket to a better future.” This is fake news at its worst.

Before diving into the details of this obviously ludicrous article, let me offer a real-world example of one former Chinese youth who would vehemently disagree with this outrageous contention.

Several years ago, my parents adopted a little girl from China. She was an orphan (thanks to China’s One Child Policy) who assuredly did not have a “ticket to a better future” because of China’s Communist Party.

In fact, had she not been adopted by my parents, her ticket to a better future in China would have likely included one-way trips to worlds of poverty, prostitution, and pain. Fortunately, for her sake, she was rescued from a life of despair in a totalitarian dictatorship.

Interestingly, after coming to the United States and learning the language and customs of her new homeland, she has totally disavowed her birthplace. Why, you might ask? Well, according to her, being a youth in China (especially while in a government-run orphanage) was a hellish experience replete with abuse, indoctrination, and despair.

In other words, for my adopted sister, and millions of young Chinese, the Communist Party is a mighty threat to their future—not a vehicle for a better future.

In all likelihood, Bezos and his editors atThe Washington Post are well aware of this. However, they chose to publish a false story portraying the Peoples Republic of China as a fairy tale land laden with opportunity and optimism. What a farce.

The article begins with, “The overwhelming humidity of the Chinese summer was not enough to stifle the ardor of the crowds of 20-somethings honoring Mao Zedong, the founding father of Communist China. Some took fairground-style miniature trains while others ran three miles through the heat to reach the giant statue of a young Mao — China’s equivalent of Mount Rushmore — staring out over the Xiangjiang River.”

Why in the world would Bezos’ newspaper portray Mao Zedong, the ruthless dictator who was responsible for the deaths of millions, as the George Washington of China? It is akin to the newspaper waxing poetically about Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc. It is disgusting.

The article also describes the workers of China’s state-owned companies as joyful automatons who pledge fealty to the Communist Party. The author writes, “Nearby, sweaty recruits from the 23rd Metallurgical Construction Group, part of a state-owned construction and mining firm, gathered to recite one of Mao’s poems, ‘Changsha.’ ‘I ask, on this boundless land / Who rules over man’s destiny?’ they shouted in unison. The answer, in this instance, is the Chinese Communist Party.”

It is shocking that an American newspaper would publish such pro-communist propaganda. Yet, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

The article also goes to extreme lengths to downplay the atrocities committed by China’s Communist Party under the iron fist of President Xi Jinping. Yet, there is not one mention of the horrors that China’s Communist Party inflicts upon its own people, including slave labor, Orwellian surveillance, and a general lack of liberty.

In China, if you dare defy the diktats of the Communist overlords, you can bet your ticket to a better future will be less likely than hell freezing over.

And this is the crux. In China, a ticket to a better future depends on one’s standing within the Communist Party. In America, a ticket to a better future depends on one’s willingness to work hard and pick themselves up by their boot straps.

This could not be clearer than in the example of my adopted sister. Her future in a China was a one-way ticket to nowhere. On the other hand, the United States has provided her with a ticket to prosperity and happiness.

Maybe Jeff Bezos and his comrades/editors atThe Washington Post should reconsider their rosy outlook on China’s Communist Party.

Shipment of nearly 20 thousand fake U.S. driver’s licenses from China were just confiscated at Chicago airport

This smells like big time election interference to me...

Why are the Chinese making so many fake U.S. driver’s licenses? That’s a disturbing little tidbit to discover, especially right before an election. According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the bulk of these fake U.S. IDs flooding into the country come from China and Hong Kong, with the rest coming in from South Korea and the U.K.

Officials in Chicago just confiscated a shipment of these fake IDs totaling nearly 20 thousand counterfeit cards. Of course, the local news media in Chicago doesn’t see a connection to “voter fraud,” but I do.

As a matter of fact, it’s the main thing I see with just three months before an election. What emboldens illegal voters more than to head to the polls with a phony ID in their pocket in case anyone asks for ID?

From Fox Five: Federal customs officers have seized 1,513 shipments from overseas containing fraudulent documents—19,888 counterfeit U.S. driver’s licenses—just at Chicago O’Hare International Airport this year through the end of June. Most of the shipments came from Hong Kong and mainland China, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Other shipments came from South Korea and the U.K. “These counterfeit driver’s licenses can lead to disastrous consequences,” CBP’s Ralph Piccirilli said in a statement. “Criminal organizations use these counterfeit IDs to avoid attracting attention to their illegal activities.” […] “What is most disconcerting about these interceptions, besides the volume in which we are experiencing, is the ease in which so many young people freely share their personal information with counterfeiters abroad,” Lemaux said in a statement. “We’ll continue to collaborate with local law enforcement to educate the public, and anyone who is contemplating purchasing a counterfeit ID online, on the potential dangers of sharing your personal, identifiable information with a criminal element.”

I think that we need to really think outside of the box and be open to anything in terms of cheating or interference, because the desperate Democrats simply can’t lose this election, and they’ll work with anyone, anywhere to help squeak out a victory.

And I think China is the number one culprit we need to keep our eyes on.

Beijing officials call US sanctions over Hong Kong ‘ridiculous’ and ‘clowning actions’

US to sanction Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam, others amid political upheaval

Beijing officials fired back early Saturday at the Trump administration, calling sanctions the U.S. imposed over the treatment of Hong Kong “ridiculous” and “clowning actions.”

The White House announced the new sanctions Friday against Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam and 10 other Hong Kong and Chinese officials as a penalty for ending the territory’s political autonomy.

“The unscrupulous intentions of the U.S. politicians to support the anti-China chaos in Hong Kong have been revealed, and their clowning actions are really ridiculous,” Beijing’s top representative office in Hong Kong, the Liaison Office, said in a statement.

Luo Huining, the director of the Liaison Office, was listed among the officials to be sanctioned.

While announcing the sanctions, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin had singled out Lam in a statement as the official “directly responsible for implementing Beijing’s policies of suppression of freedom and democratic processes.”

“The United States stands with the people of Hong Kong and we will use our tools and authorities to target those undermining their autonomy,” Mnuchin said.

The sanctions are the latest in escalating tensions between China and the Trump administration, which have clashed over everything from the coronavirus to TikTok, the popular social media app among teens.

Under the new Chinese national security law in Hong Kong, residents are barred from participating in “any act of treason, secession, sedition, subversion against the Central People’s Government.”

Hong Kong authorities made 300 arrests during the initial enforcement of the law on July 1.

Lam, who had been the target of widespread protests as the law was proposed as passed, said she would “laugh it off” if the U.S. sanctioned her.

“I do not have any assets in the United States,” she said at the time, “nor do I long for moving to the United States.”

With Post wires.

Never could understand why people who got filthy rich through the American system are working hard to turn this country into a communist country where all the means of production are owned by the collectivity.

Because wealth like power comes with responsibility. Some use it wisely others not so. People are people. Money can change you or make you worse.

I think it’s because the means of production...the people...are owned by the “filthy rich.”

That’s the truth of it.

Nothing disturbs the RICH. No form of government, no ethics, no scruples...just POWER AND MONEY.

And the FILTHY RICH thrive in that world.

It is we, the MIDDLE CLASS, who suffer because there is NO middle class in communism.

The upcoming election might well turn adversely to us on the ravages of the pandemic but history likely will write the significance of the election to be when the USA squandered its last chance to turn back an existential Chinese threat.

The Chinese have insinuated themselves into virtually every American institution from news media to Hollywood to academia to big sports to Wall Street until there is virtually no one left who dares to be a Jeremiah, certainly not Jeff Bezos. These institutions are frankly all on the take with the establishment leadership of Congress the most compromised of all.

Always follow the money!

The Chicoms got Hong Kong free and they did not have to put down even a penny for Hong Kong.

The CEO's of this country got us doing business with the Chicoms.

Also, the CEO's that got us into doing business with the Chicoms can be or should be sued for gross negligence, gross incompetence, or gross malfeasance.

Partner, we need to have consequences for their gross mismanagement of their Companies doing business in China. Also, the Clintoons really opened up China and there has to be at least some penalty for them giving information to the Chicoms.

It is very frustrating for us out here in Mid-America to see these folks get away with the crimes they have committed against this country and against the working folks in this country.
