Don’t tell that to the media. They are ‘projecting’ 300,000 deaths by October. We’re at about 160,000 over 6 months, and they somehow think it will double in just 7 weeks? Death rates/CFR rates are falling, as are new infection rates... and some speculate that the recent “spikes” in some regions has more to do with reclassifying previous deaths as “possible covid” in more recent reporting. They say this because they overlay the grids showing a “spike” with the grids showing ICU and Hospitalizations, and there is no spike in those other metrics. Possibly, maybe likely given the financial incentives, to reclassify the manner of deaths of people who died weeks or months earlier.
Now maybe they are “projecting” a winter resurgence of the virus, or maybe they are projecting a bad flu season which is possibly going to complicate things if someone dies from influenza while also testing positive for covid.
This thing is a plan demic, political in nature, intended to unseat Trump.
I know I are getting better and I didn’t even catch covid.

CDC logs deaths based on the actual date of death and not the day that the death is reported which takes up to a week or more.
Thus there’s is a delay in tallying numbers and thus it always appears that the numbers are lower in the last week.
