He came, he saw, he ate their lunch. Bill Barr, denied a meal break, feasted instead on a gaggle of Democratic amateurs.
Another congressional hearing, another Dem disaster. They planned a public hanging of the attorney general and spent weeks constructing their scaffold. He is corrupt, a liar, a toady, they and their media handmaidens assured us, and the House Judiciary Committee will reveal all.
Two obstacles quickly became apparent. The first is that the Dems were led by Rep. Jerry Nadler, whose rabidness is exceeded only by his haplessness.
The start was delayed because Nadler was in a minor car accident. That was obviously an omen, but Nadler doesn’t take hints, so he plowed forward into a head-on crash with a heavyweight opponent superior in every way.
Nadler specializes in duds, demanding that former special counsel Robert Mueller testify a year ago, only to see the Russia, Russia, Russia hysteria collapse on national TV. Then Nadler, bearing a lifetime grudge against President Trump, did such a terrible job in the first impeachment hearings on Ukraine that Speaker Nancy Pelosi demoted him and turned the task over to Rep. Adam Schiff.
Yet Nadler is a slow learner and there he was Tuesday, opening the ballyhooed attack on the AG with a statement that was a farrago of lies, fake news and slanderous attacks on law enforcement, Barr and Trump. It was so over-the-top, so fact-free and unsupportable, that it had zero chance of setting the stage for a meaningful interrogation.
Then again, honest interrogation was not the intent. Pelosi’s House only does character assassination.

Barr didn’t “destroy” Nadler. Who thinks up these juvenile headlines?

How would the New York Times and Washington Post cover this if a Republican had acted like the jerkoff Nadler? I’m guessing front page above the fold... with all the prissy outrage the little twits could muster...

Barr also told Nadless that he "is a real class act" for not letting him have a five minute break after Barr had to wait for him for an hour in the morning.
Trust Jeff Sessions, trust Nancy Pelosi. When does your trust go away? Why?

We all have choices to make. Every day. Even those in and around “government”. Trust? Who has earned yours? Who has earned mine?

No one should participate in these hearings until everyone, including Nadler, has sworn in under oath. The outright lying during statements and questions are criminal.
The problem would be in finding a jury that would convict in any area where a trial would be held, regardless of how solid the case is.
Nadler is a little man with no class.
Just thinking about the Democrats nasty image, is enough to vote straight Republican ticket.
It never is, regardless of who is running the House. Nobody in the room was interested in uncovering anything. They were there to get the five minutes on camera for campaign ads; Democrats so they could look like they were tough on Barr and through him Trump and Republicans so they can look like they were fawning over Barr, and through him Trump.
Yes, he did.
It doesn't indict Deep State traitors either.
Then let's just all stop pretending and admit we will never, ever get justice.

Everything that needs to be said about and done to Jeff Sessions has already been done. Republicans should never mention his name again. The voters of Alabama have relegated him to the garbage can of history. He was not defeated—he was humiliated. He worked hard for the humiliation, and he got what he deserved. Thanks, Alabama!
