It sure looks like it.
GOD Help us. *rme*
In response to largely peaceful demonstrations against police brutality that have been punctuated by criminal behavior
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mostly peaceful is somewhat violent.
Jacob Sullum wrote this piece.
I believe townhall is owned by the vile Salem anti trump network
Heavy handed?! He’s shown a lot more restraint than I would have.
I understand the concept of “people will be people”, but when it’s your daughter they rape, you would at least like to see SOMEONE do a bit of prison time.
Townhall is trash like all #NeverTrump.
I read Townhall a couple days each week, mainly for Kurt Schlichter’s columns.
Sullum I’m familiar with from his articles for Reason years ago. For a libertarian, he’s not bad on most issues.
This is probably the worst piece I’ve read from him.
As for Townhall in general, I wouldn’t put it in the same class as Mother Jones, as you state. Any site that publishes Col. Schlichter hasn’t lost its conservative focus.
Are you so ignorant that you don't the difference between an author Jacob Sullum and a Townhall.com
I swear your ignorance is amazing but not surprising.
BTW here is the same ob-ed by the author Jacob Sullum in Reason.com Trump Deploys Lawlessness Against Lawlessness>/a>
Are you gonna bitch at them too? You ignorant Moron
Townhall.com allows one to see what propaganda looks like but it’s not like we don’t hear it 24/7/365 from the liberal media.
Nevertrumper presstitute.
Partisan Media Shills update.
Townhall.com publishes the ob-eds it gets from different authors like Jacob Sullum. Now Townhall does have a staff who sometimes writes op-eds as Townhall Staff.
These quisling little pussies writing about this nonsense don’t really understand that they are being saved by President Trump with these actions.
If order is not restored and the local authorities won’t put an end to this shit, the next steps become deadly to many.
If they won’t allow the Federal Officers to set things right, it then falls upon the citizens of that locality, along with citizens from the rest of the state and country, to take care of this issue.
When it comes to that point, the local authorities will likely “resist” the efforts to put down the anarchists, and then the game is really on. Their local officers and eventually the National Guard will be called upon to fight the citizens attempting to put an end to the BS.
Then the dance gets down to the real issue. The government vs the people.
Now that the connections are being made between never-Trumpers, Uranium One and the Clinton Foundation, they’re all panicking.
Their only hope of survival, on an existential level, is for Trump to be removed from office and the cabal of which they’ve always belonged put back into unchallenged power.
So much BS present here that I could only wade about a paragraph in before becoming so bogged down that I had to retreat. All I cn say is whatever Jacob Sullum, but honestly you missed the mark by a country mile.
Well, it’s good to know the Townhall is not responsible for what is published at its site. An unlike Facebook et al., they don’t censor things they don’t like.
Heavy handed? The Domestic terrorists in one city blocked police in their barracks, and tried to light the building on fire in hopes of killing everyone inside very likely- Defend that Townhall! Trump’s response is not just appropriate- it’s about time-
I said yesterday that Trump should just ignore the left’s stompy-foot tantrums, and just move in and shut down all the anarchy and domestic terrorism once and for all, but now i see that it’s not just the left that are throwing the tantrums, it’s peopel on the ‘right’ like TH apparently too-
hmm. So officers who work for DHS, Marshals, ICE, etc., have the ability to enforce federal law, but they don't have the ability to stop damage to federal assets or 'fight crime' - like maybe felony ARSON? And if they don't have the cooperation of the PPD, on orders from the mayor, should they just let the arsonist or vandal sit in the park eating RiotRibs, drinking beer and launching fireworks at will? Are they supposed to just stand there and let the commercial-grade green lazers burn their retinas? Did someone release stupid-gas over the USA or what?
Upon entry on any federal facility one is subject to detainment for questioning, arrest, search and seizure of anything within one's personal control (including vehicles, purses, backpacks and lunch bags) without notice. That includes military bases and, oh yes, federal courthouses and the premises thereof. If you run from being detained or searched, the marshal is NOT required to stop at the magical unicorn line on the sidewalk and let you disappear gently into the mist.
And of course what we all learned in 6th grade - Marshals can walk anywhere, anytime of day or night and if one shows up at your doorstep or in your face, you know their 93% conviction rate is going to make it a very bad day for you. Why are people pretending like this is a foreign concept?
As for 'captain portland' - a former enlisted knows full well that when a lawful order has been given to disburse from a federal property, he better say how far and get to stepping. With a complete lack of situational awareness, walking into an active riot condition, with a team focused on external threats in addition to the poolnoodle brigade, and then expect to have tea with the fellas, is about as asinine as one can get. How broke was that hand that he could flip a double bird to his 'fellow vets'? I'm sure he feels so much better milking that cash cow his stunt produced at the expense of his fellow vets - paid interviews, gofundme's, the usual milk and cookies. What a lowlife - and that's coming from this vet.
Id like to say Im surprised by this being Townhall.com, but Id hate to lie.
Agree. You can tell the election is near when Townhall starts pumping out these Never Trump screeds again.
